the guy's name is "Noel Tate", do not appear to be on the wiki list anyway.

thanks P.J., I thought the only 3 names at him I knew might be from Northern Ireland, yours, Will Simpson & John McCrey, but he said there was a lot of drink involved and it was a while ago.

thanks for all your help.

Is there a list anywhere of mega city block names from the stories of Judge Dredd?

I met a guy in the pub and we got talking about comics and he told me he met a Dredd artist in Belfast a few years back and the artist said he might put his name in the background of a panel, I am just curious if it ever happened.

If it ended up as a bit of graffiti it might never be found, but if it was actually a block name there might be a chance of identifying it, if it exists at all.

thanks

IIRC, there are several pages in Book III - maybe a whole episode? - that the Biz did s/s rather than the usual half up,

wonder did Simon do this to make up for the times he did 1 up (4 times the printed size)

You might get some who want to replace their old Fleetway editions - I've replaced Watchmen once just because the old one got tatty.

the old fleetway edition is the only edition I have seen reproduced from the original plates (or transparencies which might be long lost), even the collected edition had missing plates that had be replaced with copying the printed version.

If the original transparencies are not available the only alternative is to scan the printed version (and descreen, losing quality) or rescan the original artwork.

The smaller size of the last horned god volumes  benefited the descreening process, the loss of quality would not be as noticeable, now that it is nearly back to its original size, it will be interesting to compare with  the fleetway volumes.

The origional art is out there some where, but it would be a massive undertaking to get permissions and scan the lot.

I live in hope that one day there might be an artist edition from the original art at the art size, even if it was not complete it would still be amazing!(and then the black hole mission artist edition).

Yes, just checked some pages on line and most definitely, the same artist.

He did do a long stint on Dare after Kennedy and i only really appreciated his work after the strip was handed over to another artist that in my opinion did not suit a scifi strip.

Hi

I have been using a .7 blue line lead with mechanical pencil for a number of years now and I found his the best way to pencil for inks.

&

However, the lead brakes so often it is quite wasteful & frustrating, does anyone else use these tools and have a solution other than going back to gray pencil lead (which appears to be stronger) that needs to be erased after inks?

thanks

that is beautifully coloured by Cam, it was not how it appeared in the prog thought, it was coloured by another artist when 2000ad added more colour pages to the weekly.
