Film & TV / Re: Bye bye to Watchmen...

I wonder if DC made a deal with fox berfore Warner Gobbled them up. I'm sure warners Legal team wouldnt have let them make the film unless they knew they had the rights.

Its very timely of FOX objection, why not get an injunction at the preProduction stage when warner have not invested millions.
If they did make a deal with fox what sort of media rights it was it for(Cartoon etc) and why have fox not done anything with it.

Oh i dont know, not only positives feed Ego.

Look at his jokes in Jay and Bob strike Back, Movie poop shoot etc.

I'd find it funny that some comic book fanboy thinks i'm an odious twat. how many books/movies have they made.

I like Smith, even his comic book writing.

Someone should see if he'd right something for 2000AD

An evening with Kevin Smith is very good and so is Evening Harder.

Off Topic / Re: Has the BBC lost it...
18 August, 2008, 09:48:41 AM
BBC is trying desperately to make sci-fi / fantasty drama's to sell abroad cos the americans at the moment will buy anything off of the success of the New Dr Who and vintage dramas.

Not classics at the moment but i'd look out for EE Knights Vampire Earth series they are extremly good, concentrating on postapocaliptic guerilla warfare and tactics its very good

I hate siting in a cinema with anything under an 18 rating, because cinemas dont have Ushers anymore, i sat through Wanted the other week with 3 x +15 year old girls Answering and having conversations on their phones, then when we complained the guy just shrugged his shoulders.

I'm still in my twenties and if i had acted like the kids do now in the cinema, we'd have been thrown out.

I wasnt making an opinion on B&W i dont really have one, i really enjoy the extreme B&W's recently and dont have a problem with colour or B&W (except stickleback, and i understand thats grayscale but to me its just B&W)

It was the flip flopping of policy i was questioning.

General / 2000AD ALL Colour
15 August, 2008, 11:06:17 AM
I've been reading 2000AD/Megazine/classic/extreme and now for years but stopped for a few because it was getting stale. (i'm glad its gotten so much better)

What happened to the big hooo haaa about 2000AD being in colour only/All Colour???????????????????????????
I like dafoe or the occasional B&W future shock but i cant get my head around the artwork black/white in stickleback or the awfull insect thing in bobs twisted tales recently.

Was there an announcment i missed renouncing the all colour 2000AD or did old thargy baby just do what he likes as usual.

PG-13 Punisher quotes

"Those who do evil to others - the shoplifters, the jaywalkers, tresspassers, bullys - you will come to know me well. Frank Castle is dead. Call me... The Punisher"

"You are one dumb poopy pants. Bringing a Spoon to a Waterpistol fight"

" I made you kiss your wife. Now I've kissed you."
