GMozz and Mr Moore will be there and all good, but do you want America thinking that 2000ad alumni is them and Mark Millar, 'cos he'll chart and if he does and Mr Wagner doesn't, well shame on us.

Mark Millar? Good grief, no.

It's such a shame that Wagner (and even Mills to some extent) don't get the recognition they deserve State side. They would both quite easily make my top 10 list of favourite writers, and definitely ahead of some other well known ones, especially Mark bloody Millar! As for artists, Henry Flint, Arthur Ranson et al would definitely get my vote.

And oh, even though he's (sadly) not associated with 2000ad, Richard Corben. I just worship his work.

Ooh, that name change Prof Bear. Hope you're not intentionally trying to piss off those from an Islamic persuasion.  :-\

He'd have used a picture of a pig and changed his user name to THE PROPHET MO-HOG-MED if that was his intention. Anyway, shut up - that picture of the dog wearing a fez is brilliant - I didn't think you could top a picture of a monkey wearing a fez for hilarity, but here we are.

No, hats off to the dog in a fez most definitely, did have a chuckle when I saw that. Apologies if I misread your intentions Prof Bear. As a moderate British Muslim myself I'm all for free speech and shit, but you can see how others can take offence. Some Muslims see Dogs as unclean*, and might take offence to seeing "Allah" connected with dog, etc.

* No where does Islam say that you can't keep a dog as pet, in fact, I know a lot of people from Muslim backgrounds who have dogs. I think it's more a cultural misconception. I find it bloody annoying though. I happily encourage my kids to stroke or pet a dog when they see one.
Missy is the Master?  ::)
My son pointed out the Cybermen before they even showed up. Sometimes kids can see or sense things we 'dults can't I suppose, but I'm mighty impressed with his enthusiasm.  :)

Okay, if the Doctor and Missy were in the 'Nethesphere', how did she open the door and end up in London? Or was it here (i.e in London) all the time? Must be a dimensional thing surely?

Good episode though, a big improvement on last week.
The Nethersphere is clearly that constant-thorn-in-the-submission-pile a virtual reality "prison". Missy probably exists in both, if brain waves can be captured and placed in the nethersphere then it seems reasonable you can duplicate brainwaves (this btw is ground well covered by Ian Bank's Contact series).

The Doctor/Clara/Missy were all in a building in london that holds the physical remains of the dead (who have been 'upgraded' and stored) and while intelligence of those bodies are stored within the nethersphere (which was the round orbiting Gallifrayan 'hard drive'), but it was clearly intended to confuse and make you think they were somewhere else - maybe somewhere more futuristic or alien.

Only disappointment to me is that the cybermen always look like there should be millions to be a real threat, but they only ever seem to have a dozen or so.
Otherwise, I thought it was a great episode.

I think that's a great explanation of how the Nethersphere works, PJ, certainly clears things up for me at least.

Cheers!  :)

Try "Kalb Akbar", it'll be better suited to your message  ;)

I think the trailer just gave away a big spoiler: Warning, er, possible spoiler!
The boy might also be an android as we see him (for a split second) cutting his arm, probably to see what's under the flesh.
The film looks very interesting, hope it is as good as it looks.

I missed out on the Summer Special, and regretted it. Will I miss out on this (the Winter Special) as well?

Hell no!

The line up looks fantastic!

Yes, how can I forget Simon Fraser! Some of his cityscapes are mouthwatering to behold, both for Nikolai Dante and also like this one here...

From Lilly McKenzie and the Treasure of Paros.

Mindboggling stuff.

Agreed - I hadn't noticed how that side panel tapers to reflect the perspective of the roadway. Though I do remember gazing at that page for much longer than usual when my prog arrived!

Same here! The details in the panels are amazing. For me, Henry Flint joins a special group of artists including such greats as Moebius, Corben, Bolland, Otomo, who elicit such a reaction from me, that is to make me gawk at their works for long amount of time!

This page by Flint is funting amazing. He's like the natural successor to Otomo when it comes to drawing post apocalyptic vistas/ cityscapes. It's such a vivid piece, beautifully realised. I'm lost for bloody words...

Cheers Gladwin, I just picked up the Richard Corben & Bernie Wrightson 'Creepy' collections for £4.
Now that's a bargain.

Yep, that is one hell of a bargain, Link. Both those books are bloody amazing, especially Corben's one. The hardcover edition takes pride of place in my collection, it's a stunner.

Oh, silly of me! I was thinking you guys were referring to a fantasy TV series or something which I was missing out on! Thanks Davey. :)
