General / Morrison/Millar Interview circa 1993
13 August, 2006, 10:23:45 PM

Funny interview by Morrison/Millar from 1993, which includes a defence of Millar Robo-Hunter so stupidly smug its almost on the same level as Frank Lebourf's "I've won a world cup".

Still Grant thinks Mills is attractive, so its not all bad :)

Books & Comics / Re: Henry Flint DC work

Either a) because Americans are stupid or b) Flint is colouring straight onto pencils?

These pages look great, looking forward to this.

"Future Thrills: Origins- Strong images. Giant getting shot? And what?s the significance in the placement of Dredd?s head? I?m really looking forward to it. "

I'm guessing from this story, that much of Origins will be told form the viewpoint/reminscinces of a sleeping Dredd.

"Voodoo Child by Rogue Traders is on the radio right now. I like it!"

I quite like this to. A nice bit of rock pop.

My list is far too long to list here, suffice to say it includes Dusty Springfield, early Kylie, All Saints, Spice Girls, early Britney, early Christina, Atomic Kitten and ever Girls Aloud CD. And these are just the ones I actually own records of.

Btw, has anyone seen Attitude's 50 gayest records? Quite a good feature, with some good choices.

YES! YES! YES!

Finally a comiccon near me. All is good :)

May actually picked this up at some point. Huzzah for CI :)

Personally I'd like to see it in the Meg, but I can understand why there was a reluctance to pick it up. Especially when you consider that unlike something like XTINCT (which was excellent btw) there's further revenue streams i.e. reprinting, future series, video games, etc.

"Why, oh why, oh why, aren't we getting this reprinted in the meg?!

Alan!"

I remember asking Alan Barnes why we weren't getting foriegn lang. reprints. The reason given was that when you add in buying rights, translation costs, etc its actually virtually the same as an original black and white strip. Which kinda defeats the point of doing reprint.

News / Re: TOM FRAME - OUR DROID............
17 July, 2006, 07:58:31 PM

This is terrible news. Tom Frame was a true great of comics, and his lettering showed an attention to detail and craftsmanship that few if any can match. A sad day for Dredd and 2000AD fans.

My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

I think Taiwan or North Korea is more likely to be the cataylst for WW3 than Iran.

It won't be world war 3, I mean this isn't the first time the Israelis have fought Lebanon/Syria nad it won't be the last. But yeah it looks pretty damn scary at the mo, the Israelis look to have completely lost their marbles.

Oh man I want this, damn my lack of money.

He still managed to get himself titled Man Of The Tournament, mind, which just goes to show that Revenge Violence Is Okay, Kids, Just As Long As You're A Good Footballer. Huzzah!

Actually, it was voted at half-time before his 'moment of madness'.

Isn't the reason Rose is special is that she 'opened up' the doctor's heart after the tragedy of the time war?
