Why those errors have started showing up outside development is something I'm going to look into tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up, will get it sorted! ;)

Meant to say (got side tracked thinking about Dante!) I got one of those too. From "AngryBirdNonAdmin"
and with a linkie to

http://webdev.rebellion.co.uk/sp/forums.2000adonline.com/messages/4096#16439 if that helps?

Ahaha...that did help...I'll let him know. All part of the whole forum migration which has been put on hold at the moment, not sure why you got those in the first place of course :-\

Cool, thanks - when you order in future put your alternative address in the "delivery comments" section. Still moving over to a system that actually supports multiple addresses! ;)
#68
Hey,

Have you ordered from the store before? It's kind of there as a security check that it's originally sent to your billing address - thereafter the warehouse can accept other addresses :)

somebody did this a while back didn't they? Although I can't find the thread now - actually that's a good point - I'm hoping the new site will have a more useful search function as the current one is a bit pants.

Agreed!

Quote from: SmallBlueThing on 30 June, 2012, 09:57:57 AM
"A bit pants"? The current search isnt even a search, more a random guess, a shrug, hands thrown up in the air, and a mutter of 'oh, you sort it out', followed by a slouchy walk away with its pants showing above its trousers.

SBT

...agreed?...Agreed!

 I was trying to be diplomatic - these web-droids can have highly sensitive criticism-circuits.

Droids?...Plural?...When did this happen and why wasn't I informed! At last I can share my favourite pastime of shouting in the dark with a decent Bordeaux!

...and what trailer? For what? For a new forum? That'd be the blandest dullfest of a trailer the world has experienced...

He he, yes, just a little joke...

:o I thought you were being deadly serious.

I'd love some 8-bit ones myself, but yeah...didn't we have some Thargy ones a while back? My memory isn't what it ever was....and what trailer? For what? For a new forum? That'd be the blandest dullfest of a trailer the world has experienced...

So what the latest on images uploads or url stuff? Same as usual?

Wut?

Pardom me for answering on your behalf Goaty, but I think the question is whether the new forum will allow us to upload images directly rather than via a 3rd party hosting site like Photobucket.

Oh...ummm..possibly...based on the huge number of images you lot churn out that could very well eat all my bandwidth. But I might be able to compromise to allow a certain sized image upload.

Can we have flashing red/yellow text on a chequered green, blue, gold and purple background and accompanying "WEEWEEWEEWEEWEEWEE!" alarm, as standard across all the forums please? (if we are forced to still live in the nineteen eighties and look at a screen). Also, can you program surprise monkeys in hats to pop up, and give us an optional cheese encyclopaedia function?

Have we still got to use a monitor, like it's bloody two thousand and bloody five and batter our fingertips on a keyboard? Or is the Board finally going to enter the space age and pump it all straight into my brain, like it should?

I'm willing to experiment if you are...?

Is this new "alleged" web site really a convoluted plot to summon cosmic horrors from beyond space time? It would be fun if it was.

Well, it's a new "forum" so you're all sorts of wrong. I'll add you to the Russian Roulette Purge List. Say 4 Hail Marys and repent a bit around the edges.

Quote from: Jared Katooie on 26 June, 2012, 10:20:53 PM
Can we have a black background with white text? It's so much easier on the eyes.

No?

Quote from: Jared Katooie on 26 June, 2012, 10:20:53 PM
Also I'd like red links like in the good old days. They lit up when you hovered over them! The dark blue ones we have now blend in too much with the black text.

Maybe!

Quote from: Jared Katooie on 26 June, 2012, 10:20:53 PM
Also, can we have the option to see how many people are ignoring you? I know a lot of people whined about this feature, but I don't see any harm in having it as an option. Just so people can keep track of whether they are proving unpopular.

Not got the ignoring feature just yet so no idea as to whether the above will apply yet...

Quote from: Jared Katooie on 26 June, 2012, 10:20:53 PM
Also, I'd like if we could have the Something Awful smileys as the current set aren't great. I know a lot of people whine about smileys, but if we're going to have them then we might as well go all out.

Mmm yes I'd like to update the smileys generally

- People whinging on about seeing spoilers because they bookmarked some stupid preview pane view of recent posts.

Hmmm will look into the later, as for the former that's probably due to this place needing a prune and hasn't had one for a while so I doubt a re-index happened.

redundant posts

Uh-oh - is that not all of them?

Is there such a thing as a redundant thread on here? It's all gold I tell you.

Well I was talking posts lost in the void with no thread tie-ins or the general malingering chaos that is "spam" ...but now that you come to mention it...  ;)
