> Anyone think this'd make a cool published collection? Maybe even tv show. Or is it just me? It's got a kind of twilight zone feel to it and who doesn't enjoy the Twilight Zone?

The earliest response time I've had is something like two months, but in general it's taken over six months for Future Shocks to get back to me.

Back in January they had a purge and sent back loads of FSs to loads of people, and after that response time got briefly better, but I have to assume that the pile is back up to its previous huge size by now.

Website and Forum / Ugly banners on homepage

What the hell is that ugly shit on the right hand side of the homepage? Get it the hell off of there now. If people are having trouble finding those sections of the site you dhould work on improving the navogation, not add ugly-ass internal banner ads.

Theres some pretty good invisibles information at http://www.barbelith.com/bomb/, including a guide to all the issues. Looks like its section on collections hasn't been updated for a bit though.

Er... can we avoid reposting Scojos silliness here? I'm pretty certain that both Milo and Gordon Rennie can see the wretched fools accusations for themesleves, if they haven't got him killfiled, and if they have got him killfiled then i'm sure they don't want to hear about it.

"The Stars My Destination" is often acknowledged as one of the key influences on cyberpunk, and is a damn fine read too.

Gibson himself has often cited William Burroughs as an influence:

And the earliest exponent of the Virtual Reality Prison has to be Philip K Dick

In terms of literary merit it all goes downhill from there.
