Does Big Ben or the Houses Of Parliment still stand in Brit-Cit and if so what sector or were they destroyed or perhaps sold to some Mega-City tycoon.

Damn this is bugging me. I remember really enjoying the strip and the artwork been really good. Would be nice to see some reprints.

Off Topic / Re: Letter from Garth Ennis...

I see no reason why it shouldn't be him. He's a huge Battle fan and in an old copy of Battle I have there is a later from a young Garth Ennis from Ireland.

If you ever get chance to track this guys comics down do so, near to the bone but very funny. He's also done one about Posh and Becks as well. They were originally done as cheapo fanzines but I have seen a new George Bush and Tony Blair one as a swanky hardback book in a FP shop.

General / Dredd and his helmet :-)
06 December, 2002, 08:54:47 PM
Is the reason we never get to see Dredd's face because the comic doesn't want us to see it, therefore giving that air of mystery or is it because Dredd doesn't want us to see his face? Yeah I know Dredd is just a fictional character and not "real" but over the years we've got to see how his mind works. So does he keep his helmet on because his face is all messed up (doubtful with all the face change technology available) or because sometimes he wants to go outside in normal clothes minus helmet for a quiet cup of synthi-caf without fear of someone having a go at him? Or more likely is it because his helmet is stuck and that's why on the occasions he's been captured by the likes of The Angel Gang, Captain Skank, they've been unable to prise it off 'cause it doesn't seem to come off even when he's strung upside down. Now if I was a evil bad guy and caught Dredd the first thing I'd want to do is see what the old bugger looks like (I knew you'd say that :-)

I liked the Fink Bros (Suggs and Chas Smash from Madness) Mutants In Mega-City 1 but I am slightly biased/old as I grew up listening to the likes of Madness, Specials et al. My fave 2000AD inspired song has to be Transvision Vamp's Hanging Out With Halo Jones. Nice.
