General / Meltdown Man The Movie
10 August, 2008, 06:52:14 PM
It has taken a Frenchman to finaly to bring out Meltdown Man The Movie... unfortunately it has lost a bit in translation and is a bit more sexy and doesn't actually feature Nick Stone but hey at least they have given it a try. They also seem to be a but heavy on the old product placement but you can't have everything.

(Haven't posted in a long time but after seeing this the other night I felt obliged)

They don't banter that much if I remember right but the train scene possibly the best ever.

I saw it last week in America and it is brilliant. I was wondering if it has been cut for the English cinima though? I've noticed it is a PG and I was thinking about taking my nephew to see it but the hospital scene was a bit too gruesome for him. I can't believe it would be classed as a PG.

Dear John was an American sit com first.

Failures the other way include Coupling, Fawlty Towers and Men Behaving Badly

When Indiana Jones: Last Crusade was out me and my mate saw Sean Connery at the Isle of Man airport. We were ionly about 13 at the time. So we went upto he and asked for is autograph.  While he was signing a piece of paper for us I said how I really enjoy the Last Crusade, then my mate Dan said he enjoyed it as well.  I said "You liar, you haven't seen it yet, you wanted to watch Batman instead".  Me and Dan ended up having a scrp in the middle of the airport while Sean just walked off.

My other star spot was on New Years day this year, I was a Coney Beach, New York in some hot dog bar when in walked Sienfeld, the coprate guy out of Aliens and "My Two Dads", the bit actor guy who was the shop owner in Pretty Woman and some other guy who I recognise from films but still can't think of a single one he is in. They then all sat at the table behind us.

We were once playing a drinking game in a pub where you had to say your brush with fame, my mates girlfirend won as she had used Michael Palin's toilet.  Can't remember the circumstances but we were all very impressed.

And you actually asked him to draw that for you?

Or did he miss hear you?

I was wondering if any one has ever asked a 2000ad arist to draw something strange at one of these comic book signings?

I went to one with my brother years ago and because he didn't read 2000ad he got Simon Bisley to draw him a Harley Davidson instead, ( while I got the usual Joe Pineapples ).

One word "Inferno"

What an awful Dredd story, possibly worse than HS as I thought it was a great idea that the Rouge Judges roited and escapedfrom Titan but the final story was utter crap

Worst moment ever has to be the resurrection of Pa and Junior Angel, and what for, they haven?t done anything mildly interesting with them since.  Who was responsible for that one?
