My wife and I were actually just talking, and now that I've got so many of these case files and various other 2000 AD trades-- I was thinking about selling most of my progs to someone.

I've got the Complete Judge Dredd entire collection, the Classic Judge Dredd collection, and then all the progs after that point up until like just after Origins came out.  And a bunch of hardcover Annuals, Specials, etc.  I don't need to sell the whole lot-- but if anyone is interested in some stuff I'd certainly be willing to do cover price or maybe cheaper if it's a mass quantity.

Problem is, I'm in the U.S.-- so it's mighty expensive to ship all this!  Still, if anyone out there is interested, I can talk more.  It'll be a sad day to see these go, but I'd rather they go into a good fan's home than sit where they are now.  If interested drop me a line.  badkarma9000 at cox dot net (typed out to avoid spamdroids).

"Its a nice idea in theory, but is even the most demented Dredd fan going to want 50+ volumes on the shelf?"

Compared to the stacks of 2000+ progs and megazines that are lining my garage, pages falling out, slowly getting sucked dry by the passage of time?  IN A NEW YORK MINUTE.  These collections are just way more favorable in my opinion, to messy over-sized prog binders.

I tend to think that regardless of what people think of the 90-94 trouble era, the series is still the COMPLETE case files.

I started buying these because there are a lot of tinier stories in between the mega epics that I like to read, and the trade paper is more legible than my newsprint copies in the garage.

I'd be a bit miffed if after 14 volumes or whatever, COMPLETE Case Files turns into "Eh, Not-So-Complete Case Files."

I say stick with it.  Even through the rough patches-- there's a light on the other end of the tunnel after all!  A big gorey light!

Now that we're on 9, with 10 confirmed as coming soon, I wanted to ask-- do we know how long the case files will keep going to?

I heard awhile back they were planning at stopping with 11 or so, right around when Dredd's strips started having the color first 2 pages...

Some argued that they should continue to release them, at a higher price to account for the color pages, or release them with half the pages at the same price...  I wasn't sure if any official decision had been made, or what.

Do you think we'll get more Dredd after volume 11?  Any ideas?

Oh perfect, that's exactly what I was looking for.

By chance, what did you make that in?  If it's Excel, and you have the original file, I wouldn't mind taking a swing at putting all your Megazine stuff in there in publication order as well.

Then a master list would exist.

Thanks guys...

Is there anyplace that kind of takes all those seperate lists of 2000ad, annuals, and megs, and actually puts them in one order?  Like for example, "Prog 427-465" and then "Annual 92" and then "Prog 466-485" and "Megazine 2.01", etc.

Is there a master list somewhere with all the stories put into one list, chronologically?

Hey--

Is there a list somewhere of all the Dredd stories chronologically?  I'm so happy they're releasing the case files-- unfortunatley I own a crapload of the Dredd stories already...

I would really love to read them chronologically, including the annuals and the Megazine... Is there a list somewhere?

When is his first appearance?

By the time we see him in Bad Frendz, they talk about him as if he's a recurring character.

Website and Forum / Need list of "Other"
22 July, 2004, 01:19:57 AM
Hey, I'm almost done creating another "Dredd Collectors" page, but what I really need in order to finish is a nice list of all the non2000ad, nonMegazine appearances.  While I know they are available online, for what I am doing, I would need that in a list format with simply the title and the date of publication.  This also should include not only the annuals, sci-fi specials, etc, but also the Batman/Dredd crossovers.

Please post here or send to badkarma9000@cox.net if you have something like this handy.

That's totally what I needed.  Now just to set off on my quest to nab Judge Dredd Yearbook 1992.

Thanks guys!

PS- I asked this in another thread, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience looking for 2000AD stuff at the San Diego Comicon... I'd never done it before and it's so busy in there, I'm trying to get a bit of a head's up.  Anyone ever been to the 'Con and know of a booth that sells a lot of 2000AD back issues?

Is sleeper important?  I was just surprised by how Walter acted in "Giant" and figured I'd pick up Sleeper if it has some funny/interesting post-Apocalypse War meeting between Dredd and Walter.

No, actually, I think I already have that one.

Where the heck is this story then that's referenced in a later prog?  After Necropolis, just after Inferno, Dredd comes into contact with Walter again and he's pissed off and the leader of a fascist robo army.

Dredd makes the assumption that Walter went off the deep end after Dredd busted his "business".  I'm trying to figure out where THIS story happened, because Walter kinda faded off the face of the Earth after Apocalypse War.

Any idea what Dredd is referencing?  Where's this story where he finds Walter and puts an end to his business?

Is this the story in which Dredd busts Walter's business, after the Apocalypse War?  If not, where can I find that story?

Heh, I just got done reading an Anderson story in Megazine Volume 2 that said "This takes place prior to Necropolis".  I think if I was a subscriber, I wouldn't care as much.  Doing a straight read through of previous material doesn't lend itself as well to non-linear stories.

Yeah, I actually have a complete run through up through prog 1320, and I'm finishing up collecting the Megazine.

That 2nd list is pretty close to what I'm talking about.  I just noticed, doing a psychotic read through of Judge Dredd, that there are moments where I'm thinking, "Hmm... Maybe I should switch over to read Megazine about now" only to find out the story took place like 20 progs back.  So that's why I was thinking a simple list like so would work:

Progs 1-420 Judge Dredd
Prog 435-440 Anderson Story
Progs 421-480 Judge Dredd
Progs 479-482 Mean Machine Story
Batman/Dredd Crossover
Progs 483-500 Judge Dredd
etc. etc.

Does that make sense?
