Off Topic / Re: Wedding Reading Suggestions!.....
21 May, 2008, 12:54:30 PM
At our wedding we had three readings, E. E Cummings I Carry Your Heart and two religious readings.

I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart)
I am never without it (anywhere I go you go, my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling)
I fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet)
I want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
Here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
I carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

I found the Church of England wbesite quite useful:

Readings
There are many popular and exciting readings. Read some of these together and see if what they say seems important to you.
â?¢   God creates women and men to look after the earth (Genesis, Chapter 1, verses 26-28)
â?¢   A love poem between two lovers (Song of Solomon, Chapter 2, verses 10-13; Chapter 8, verses 6&7)
â?¢   Jesus teaches how to live life that brings true happiness (Matthew, Chapter 5, verses 1-10)
â?¢   Jesus teaches about marriage, and welcomes children (Mark, Chapter 10, verses 6-9 and 13-16
â?¢   What happens when Jesus attends a wedding reception (John, Chapter 2, verses 1 - 11)
â?¢    Love, actually! (1 Corinthians Chapter 13)
â?¢   Committing to each other (Ephesians Chapter 5, verses 21-33)
â?¢   Seeing the good sideâ?¦ (Philippians Chapter 4, verses 4 - 9)
â?¢   Getting the perfect relationship (Colossians Chapter 3, verses 12 - 17)
â?¢    Being a good lover! (1 John Chapter 4 verses 7 - 12)
Readings are available to view online at www.biblegateway.com.
Your minister will be pleased to help you choose the right readings for your wedding service.  As well as other Bible readings, she or he may be happy for you to include a suitable non-religious reading. Choices have been as diverse as 'Winnie the Pooh' and 'Captain Corelli'!

That is of course if you are having the traditional Church Wedding....

Help! / Re: Demonoid pass thingy.............
17 April, 2007, 09:02:42 PM
As Mr Marbles has declined to participate in the joke off I hearby declare Albion the winner in light of his sheer comic genius. I have been giggling about his joke since I first read it.

You will have mail shortly.

Slight problem, you get invitation codes based on how long you've been a member. Something like one every six months. I only have one code left.

The fiancee has decided (she wears the trousers!) a joke off is the best way to decide who gets it so Mr Borley, Mr Albion & Mr Marbles whoever makes her giggle the most gets the code. One joke each. And, as I find out on a daily basis, her decision is final.

Demonoid don't do the Friday thing anymore. They randomly open registrations for three days at a time once a month.

To set up a filter for Yahoo follow these quick and easy steps....

1. Click on Options (if using yahoo beta, it is on top righthand side of the mailbox)

2. Select Mail Options

3. On the lefthand side of screen will see list of options, select Filters

4. Click on "create or edit filters" - this will take you to old style yahoo.

5. Click "ADD" follow on screen prompts, add a filter name, choose rules you wish to add.

6. Choose a folder to send the emails to - this will also give you an option to add a new folder - then click create filter - a pop up comes up to add the name for the new folder.

7. Enter the name, click OK - and it's all set up.

Hope that helps...http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k25/lisa_loppit/yahoo.jpg">

Book of the Dead's big finish was on a conveyor belt at the local resyk.

I was 21 and working as an accountant in 1992, the fiancee would've been 14 and still at school!

Well how stupid do I feel?

I saw the title of this thread and went off on a massive nostalgia trip.

Matthew sat there and listened to me rant on about how fatnastic they were, how there were ones shaped like ravioli and big long yellow ones like chips.

Only for him to turn round and tell me, I had in fact been prattling on about sticklebricks!!!

So, yes, I am feeling pretty dim today!http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k25/lisa_loppit/sticklebricks.jpg">

Please do us a favour and walk away from the computer.

Quickly.

Before you say something that really starts to offend!

I've had enough of you this evening, so I'm switching off.
