I've thought that about
Arkady
all along.
After almost the entire Romanov clan was seemingly killed at the end of Tsar Wars, I think it would be terrific if in fact they win in the end. After all, Konstantin, Arkady, Victor, Dante and (possibly?) Lulu are all still alive.
Glad it's not just me then. I'm all for comics that make you think, but you do at least need to have a scooby what's going on. It's all about story telling skills, as the art droids never tire of telling us.

Dead Eyes - it's not F&L at the end (as two boarders have now mentioned) - it's W&C!!

(Fervent & Lobe, Winwood & Cord)

And I see Ismael appears to have bionic arms and Max has eyes - does that mean SPOILER they got rescued and patched up after Killing Time? I thought they'd had it at the end of that story. END SPOILER

So what does a games writer actually do? Writing as a non-gamer (and sincerely wishing not to offend those who are) surely even the most sophisticated games can't compare with the plot development in a tightly scripted comic strip? Aren't games about putting the player in a situation and then letting them figure their way out of it ie letting the player create their own story? Fair play if there's more dosh, job security etc involved, but I struggle to see how it could be more artistically satisfying then comics/ book writing. Or should I just get my coat right now?

And Halo Jones was my generation's Cabs, just as something fantastic in 20 year's time will also be. Some of us are in it for the long haul!

Was it Alex Ronald that did the double length finale to The Pit? Truly dreadful, and I wish someone would pay Carlos to redo it for us, as it ruined the ending.

Dabnett-style puntastic SinDex character that never existed (suggested by someone else on this board a long time ago):

A gay Indian computer hacker called Pilau Byter

"The supporting cast is gradually being killed off"

Actually, I feel it's more the opposite, as more Romanovs keep crawling out of the woodwork. Victor, Konstantin (OK, we know he's alive, but Dante doesn't yet), Lulu may have survived, Arkady possibly turning into Dmitri. I think it will end with the Romanovs victorious, which would be a complete turnaround from their apparent annihilation during Tsar Wars.

Film & TV / Re: Blade Runner: Final Cut......

Without getting too nerdy, what's the difference between Final and Director's Cuts? I saw the new version a couple of days ago, and it looks stunning. Certainly it's benefited from a clean up of the print and the soundtrack etc, but (even allowing it's been a while since I last saw it) I couldn't detect much new content. Anyhow, it's a good excuse to catch it on the big screen.

What about all the Judge Smiths? That must be really confusing.

Think the official books (8 - 10) were in B/W anyway. It's only the mini series and spin offs they used to pad out the many years between books that may have been in colour.

Is it worth buying? I'm afraid I'm fickle when it comes to the Meg. It was only PJ Maybe that has kept me going recently. I'm sure I can pick another one up in 3 months time and still find Anderson fighting the same robots and Dredd fighting the same illegible demons. And I don't really care what's happening to Fink as we all know he ends up in Pa Angel's Mark 1 Super Scream Torture Machine.
