General / Meltdown Man The Movie
10 August, 2008, 06:52:14 PM
It has taken a Frenchman to finaly to bring out Meltdown Man The Movie... unfortunately it has lost a bit in translation and is a bit more sexy and doesn't actually feature Nick Stone but hey at least they have given it a try. They also seem to be a but heavy on the old product placement but you can't have everything.

(Haven't posted in a long time but after seeing this the other night I felt obliged)

General / Strange Sketches
24 May, 2004, 10:32:09 PM
I was wondering if any one has ever asked a 2000ad arist to draw something strange at one of these comic book signings?

I went to one with my brother years ago and because he didn't read 2000ad he got Simon Bisley to draw him a Harley Davidson instead, ( while I got the usual Joe Pineapples ).

General / Subscription
11 September, 2003, 04:22:42 PM
I've started subscribing to 2000AD and the Megazine on the 26th August but I still have not received any comics, should I be worried or more patient?  How long is it before they should start arriving?

General / Greatest Prog Cover
07 October, 2002, 06:14:09 PM
All this talk about what makes a good cover made me think what the best cover was. Might not be the best but I remember seeing it in the shops and thinking it look great was 226 with the Mean Arena by Steve Dillion.  Great stuff.  What does everyone else reckon the best cover was?http://www.2000adonline.com/covers/2000ad/hires/226.jpg">

General / Great Dredd Story
30 August, 2002, 04:49:49 PM
Just read an excellent Dredd story on the Fanzine pages. It's about a disabled judge working on the Weather Station.

Started reading some of the online strips and I must say I am very pleased with what I've found.  Really nice to see new takes on Mega City Stories.  Dredd in the comic is a bit stale at the moment.  Any more Fanzine sites out there on the net?

General / Thrill Power Mice on the loose
05 August, 2002, 07:49:55 PM
Got out aload of of progs out of my cupboard at the weekend to find that some mice have eaten part of my collection.

One mouse seems to have ate the nearly the entire back prog of one prog which was a picture of a Torquemada dressed up as santa.  What effect this thrll power would have on a mouse is quite worring.

Any way the crime is defacing the world greatest comic, the sentance is death.

29 July, 2002, 03:35:59 PM
Just heard on the Radio some Russian Scientist with the help of Boeing has invented some Anti-Grav device, Hurrah!!!!!  Bit late isn't it though I mean wasn't all this stuff meant to have been invented for the turn of the millenium.  Any way where do I pick up my flying car from.

Still waiting for Teleportation devices, robot man-servants and ,what the hell, Alien invasions

Suggestions / REPRINT Abelard Snazz
25 July, 2002, 07:34:39 PM
I think a great reprint for the megazine would be the Abelard Snazz stories.  They were excellent but as the 5 stories are spread over a year they are always differcult to find in my back issues.

If you don't know Abelard Snazz had a double deckered brain and was the most intelligent person in the universe, very Hitch Hiker's Guide like stories

I go away on holiday for a few weeks and come back and find everyone has their own icons, how do I get one for myself?

General / Wack Sinister & Dexter
28 March, 2002, 11:08:40 PM
I think it is time to get rid of Sinster & Dexter, they are starting to feel a bit dated.  They were based on Pulp Fiction but that type of movie has pretty much gone now.  Flogging a dead horse comes to mind.  No real character development has happened to them since after Demi was killed and they got their revenge, so go on do something new with them or kill them both off.

I'm off to put a contract out on them both.

General / Is Dredd going to retire?
21 March, 2002, 07:36:34 PM
Now we have his replacement, Rico, and he is starting to go on about is aches and doubts again how long will it be before Dredd takes the Long walk again (him quitting last time was a 'classic'.).

Will we have a new story about Dredd on his long walk or would it be to much like the Missionary Man?

Suggestions / Reprints: Missing DC Dredd
15 March, 2002, 05:15:02 PM
Why doesn't the Megazine print any Judge Dredd stories that where going to be in the DC comic version but where never printed as the titles got cancelled.  There must be at least a couple of stories about.
