Hi guys,

Just wondering what other folks' submission response times have been like.

In 2011, I sent in three submissions and heard back anywhere from three weeks (very surprising) to three months (about what I'd expect) but the one I've sent this year is going on close to ten months, I believe, with no response. I haven't sent more because I was under the impression I shouldn't until I hear back.

Now, I'm wondering if I should keep waiting and hope it just hasn't made its way out of the slush pile or assume it's rejected and they either didn't have time to respond or a response was lost somewhere over the Atlantic.

Any thoughts?

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to greet the community. I've been a 2000AD fan for well over a decade and that apparently makes me something of a rarity in the US. My comic shop owner actually once told me I can never cancel my subscription with him cuz he wouldn't be able to sell the books he'd pre-ordered for me. So I guess I'm a fan for life.   

I'm also a semi-pro comic book writer and have had numerous short stories published in anthologies over the last four or five years, as well as my detective series JACK HAMMER, published by Action Lab Comics, and my sci-fi graphic novel VOYAGA was just released by Markosia in October.
