Off Topic / Songs that sound like foodstuffs!
12 October, 2006, 07:51:27 PM
In the local curry house the other night I ordered Chicken Tikka and couldn't get that ABBA song out of my head. you must know which one . This got me thinking- in my younger years I always thought the lead singer of INXS was singing "soup inside the bone" in the song "suicide blonde". Listen to it and you'll hear what i mean. Any others you can think of?

General / SUBSRICTION PLUS !!!
15 September, 2006, 06:09:35 AM
Hello everyone,
I've been a regular voyeur and (very)casual inputter to your website chat room thingy (not well versed in the jargon or rules and manners and such like etc.- basically in my job I don't have the time and only visit this one out of a love for tooth as opossed to pc's.!) I am NOT SCOJO or any of his aliases and am scared I may be treated as such due to my question, which may seem stupid to others but makes perfect sense to me.
My point goes like this:

Upon hearing of the mega epic that is "ORIGINS" I decided to take out a subscription to tooth coz i could not wait till wednesday for the latest prog and have constantly seen over the years people starting review threads on a saturday, when usually the prog comes out many days later. This has got me so excited i have felt the need to subscribe in order to get my progs earlier then anyone else.

Here is the rub!

I get my progs on a monday which is only two days earlier than the lesser mortals out there who buy the comic in a newsagent. My problem is that after a hard weeks work the real icing on the cake of a weekend would be to get the prog on a friday or saturday. Having looked at the last few issues that have been delivered to my door, however, I have noticed there is a 2nd class postage stamp that holds the thrill power within. This means that the latest prog is probably posted on a wedneday or thursday resulting in the monday deliverey. If it was posted 1st clss it would arrive on a friday or saturday! I, for one would be more than willing to pay an extra £10-£15 a year to get the issue before the weekend. This got me to thinking-

Why dont "rebellion" set up a "subscription plus" service which posts the progs 1st class for a litlle extra money in order for us all to get the progs earlier. Anyone who does not want to pay extra can keep there subscription as it is. I'D DO IT! Who else would? Thoughts please...

(not sc. Random person- LOl- meaning lots of love NOT laugh out loud- like I said I'm new to all this!)
