There are many comicbookreaders around the world who by rights could and should have been huge fans of Judge Dredd, but for reasons of Stallone or circumstance, just haven't been introduced to the awesomeness of the comics.

A Judge Dredd fan is trying to do something about just that, by converting a Punisher fan into a Judge Dredd fan, in a public forum.

Part one of the series was posted here a while back:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjBd0GzXs0M

Some myths were dispelled, some misconceptions clarified, the movies were covered, and some reading recommendations were given.

In the new video, The Punisher fan has read and reviews one of those recommendations, "America":

What should he read next?

Do you agree with the sales pitch? Do you agree with the recommendations?
Anything you would like to add, that can be added to the next video in th series, after the Punisher fan has actually read some Judge Dredd?

Oh, and mods, please feel free to move thread if this is the wrong forum for it...

General / Question about complete case files
05 January, 2011, 03:03:59 PM
I've been a long time casual fan of Judge Dredd, after first being introduced to the characther in various anthology magazines, but didn't really become hardcore until the case files allowed me to read Dredd from the beginning, more or less complete, in chronological order.

For that reason, most of the stories reprinted in the case files ater volume 8 or so are new to me, and other than the broad general things, I don't know all that much about what is to come.

What I do see is that the past two casefiles featuring Ennis as the primary writer haven't been all that, and it is my understanding that stories got worse after Ennis, until Wagner returned as main writer. Is this about right? Feel free to elaborate or correct me if I'm wrong.

What I wonder is approx how many casefiles are left with Ennis and whoever follows him, until Wagner returns and things really get good again?

Welcome to the board / Hi all!
27 July, 2010, 11:35:33 AM
Just following the board request to say hi!

I've been reading Dredd on and off for the past fifteen years, and gotten really serious about it in recent years with the complete case files collections.
Been posting about Dredd on the imdb board, Punisher and Raw Studios board, but my interest in all things Dredd really spiked with the script of the new movie.
Wanting to talk about that first and foremost led me to register here after months of lurking, so here I am!
