Has anyone been to the Natural History Museum lately? I was there yesterday. There was a section on how babies learn to talk. To illustrate this, there was a short film called 'How To Talk Martian', in which an unfortunate actress dressed as a Martian recited a speech in alien language. The opening greeting of the speech? "Borag Thungg."

All right, here's a question for you. Just how important is continuity? Over the past few weeks, I've noticed a lot of different opinions, mostly fitting into three camps:
1. Very important, there should be no errors.
2. Not really important, it's a comic.
3. If it's not by Wagner it doesn't count.
What does everyone think?

I had an idea for a spoof of those seventies WW2 comics recently, and I'm just sorta casting my net around to see if there are any artists around there who might be interested. Or small press publishers. The story is basically 'Darkie's Mob' on crack. It's set on the Eastern Front in 1944, where there are rumours of a renegade bunch of troops carrying out their own war behind German lines... they don't officially exist, but their name is nevertheless feared by both sides. And young Corporal Higgins discovers the hard way that the fear is all too justified when he runs into... BASTARD'S GANG!
Anyone interested?

All right, here's a poser for you. Apart from Dredd, what do people think would make a good 2000AD movie, considering the following categories:
1. Quality of story, characters etc.
2. Ease of translation from page to screen
3. Appeal to non-readers
4. Ease of filming
I suggested a SinDex movie on the Dredd movies thread, any other ideas?

Here's an idea, probably been had before, but the thread about Dredd movies set me thinking. Would Dredd work as an animated series along the lines of Batman or Spawn? It would allow background to be introduced gradually without reams of unlikely exposition and compression of background info. Existing stories could be adapted without too much trouble. Anyone agree/disagree with me on this?

Does anyone know of any magazine that might be interested in a gothic sci-fi fantasy horror comic strip? Only I've got a load of three-panel newspaper-style comic strips wot I done all by myself and I have no idea who to send them to.
It's basically set in this house in North London, the residents of which include a student, a zombie called Joe, a disembodied head in a jar, a Christopher Lee lookalike and an embittered robot. Their adventures so far include saving Christmas, stealing the Hogwarts Express, stomping on gnomes and working out exactly what happened to Osama Bin Laden. Does anyone know of someone who might be interested in this? Because otherwise I've got about fifty thousand comic strips with no publisher.
Would it even be worth my while trying Tooth or the Megazine?

I'm a relative newcomer to 2000AD (I started in January). Thanks to 'Judge Dredd: The Mega-History', I have a basic idea of Dredd's chronology up to 1995, but there's a few things bothering me still:
1. I've read a couple of strips featuring Rico- I thought he was dead, wasn't he?
2. What was 'Mechanismo'? I saw a reference to it in an old Megazine which suggested that it was going to be a massive epic.
3. In the same issue, there was part of a story set in 1994 and called, I think, 'Armageddon: The Bad Man'. I have found no reference to this anywhere else and what I read was just confusing. Can someone explain what this strip was about, what became of it, what happened at the end etc?
4. Did Judge Joyce appear again after 'Emerald Isle'?
