Im back again!

So since i last posted ive gone back and read from Prog 1740 and have only just caught up. (what? Ive been busy!)

Was wondering if you guys could offer some advice on where to start if im gonna go back and read past stuff of the following series which got me interested:

Nikolai Dante (guess it kinda sucks that i've read the end now but...)
Strontium Dog (it has a Case Files equivalent right? Good place to start?)
Durham Red
Grey Area (cant recall but was there more of this or was it a new series?)
Absalom
Zombo

Thanks peoples!

From that issue alone Zombo was a standout. Ive been enjoying Al Ewings work on Jennifer Blood after he took over from Garth Ennis so i may try and check out more of that.

I figured what the hell and picked up 1781 today so i guess ive official took the plunge ;)
Have yet to read it yet though, still clearing my FCBD back catalogue

And again, thanks for the help everyone!

Thanks for all the advice guys :)

Im probably headed into Uni today (school on a sunday, oh glorious day!) so i might take the plunge and pick up the current prog whilst im in town. No idea what to expect with the current book but ill try to stick at it.

Ill also try picking up case files 05 whenever i get some spare cash as FCBD cleared me out

Thanks again!

Hi guys,

Went down to my LCS today to grab some freebies for FCBD and i picked up the 2000AD issue and loved it!

Ive been toying with getting into the book for a while but have always been kinda intimidated due to the long publishing history and seemingly steaming heap of continuity. Not to mention there being several stories running at once all at different points (ie not everything is a part 1 at any one time)

My question is basically, if im gonna get into the progs how should i go about it?
Do i just pick up the next issue and stick with it until the stories eventually come around to a good jump on point and everything makes sense, or would you recommend i do some past reading first? And if so, what?

Im especially interested in Dredd so i recently picked up Case Files 01 which i just kinda assumed would be a good way to go about getting into the character. Is the megazine recommended? How does it related to the progs, Is it reprints or brand new stuff?

Help is appreciated, Im sure you get this a lot so thanks for indulging a noob ;)
