Mongoose Publishing (who makes the Judge Dredd miniatures game) has just released rules for playing the Apocalypse War with their 28mm figures. I have a bunch of their Sov Judges, MC-1 Judges, Citi-Def, etc; and I want to paint the Citi-Def as Dan Tanna block, as I plan on recreating the Dan Tanna Junction battle with the Apocalypse War rules in 28mm!

Well you've inspired me: I'd never manage as a Jimp but I think a full Rowdy Yates Citi-Def get-up might be de rigeur. Now where'd I leave those gardening kneepads?

MD in the above is indeed Melda Dreep. I also feel I should point out that very few of the cits in either picture are actually Citi Def - Block War affected all the citizens in a block indiscriminately, remember. That picture of Melda's address is not specifically Dan Tanna Citi Def but the entirety of the surviving block population. The fact they've all got access to weapons and armour - well, that just says a wealth about life in the Big Meg.

I thought that too, until I saw another Citi-Def also wearing a "MD" with a cross. Probably a different artist and a coincidence, then.

From my research, all Citi-Def have a CD on their uniform. MD is for medical.

I'm burning with curiosity: why d'you need the colours of Dan Tanna Citi-Def? - are you starting a street-gang? or a dance-group? or a 'pre-enactment' society.- where you all dress up in block colours and fire nerf guns at each other from council-flat balconies?
If so, can people join? (you're gonna need some Enid Blyton blockers)

Thanks! That's at least somewhat helpful. The red bit looks to be just the ribbon holding her medallion on, so I'm wondering if the whole outfit is that green color.

I only have access to B&W Block Mania and Apocalypse War comics - does anyone have any color reference to the color scheme that the Citi-Def of Dan Tanna block wore?

(Block Mania started with Dan Tanna, and the Dan Tanna Junction is where Judge Souster sacrificed himself with a stub-gun to destroy the megways to halt the advance of East Meg forces.)

I have somewhat, I have a bunch of Strontium Dog and Robo-Hunter, and some Rogue Trooper. But it's also a battle with my fiance, she's only letting me buy the Dredd Complete Case Files because I promised to get rid of the Titan graphic novels (I do have a lot of stuff... and little space... so it's an understandable arrangement). Doing the digital 2000AD may just be the way to go!

Hi Judgedoug, and welcome. Now let's see, you and your friends, Grant Goggans, Blackmocco, Locustsofdeath, Dougas Wolk - I think that means we've now identified everyone who saw the film in the States.

Lol! I'm fairly proud because I was personally responsible for turning someone who knew very little about Dredd into a huge Dredd fan. He saw it four times and has been consuming my graphic novels, and is now saying it's one of the best films he's ever seen. A couple of my friends who saw it and had never read Dredd have even gone out and bought some of the Complete Case Files - including some lady friends!
So, definitely doing my part to spread some Dredd lovin'!
