fantastic, always loved these muties  :)

I quite like the art , was surprised it was our DREDD and not the IDW version. Dredd can obviously remember xenomorphs but never mentions he has fought a predator before? Seemed like a case of trying to squeeze a 12 issue story into four. Would have worked better without the evil scientist subplot . An all out brawl between the three like title promised would have been more fun. Ending was a damp squib the new xenomorph invasion never felt much of a threat.

I actually enjoyed it. it was fun in a lego batman type way and i had a good laugh at the fate of the funko dark judges. And I am sure it'd appeal to a lot of kids. I got my Dredd funko pop signed by Wagner a few weeks ago

I wouldn't mind the returN of the creep even if it just a one off strip for a face off with DREDD.

General / Re: Alan Moore's Future Shocks

If anyone knows of any other similarities or references between Alan's future shocks and sci-fi of the time, do post. The hivemind is a wonderful thing.

One of the hunters in 'The Bounty Hunters' mentions that he once read a story where 'these guys looking for an alien, not realising that the alien is really the planet they're standing on' might be a reference to 'Mogo Doesn't Socialise' from Green Lantern, by some bloke called Alan Moore...

If you read "The DC Stories of Alan Moore", it's amazing how much of DC continuity for the next 30 years is based on ideas in just one or two of his short stories - pretty much all of Blackest Night/Brightest Day comes from one of his.

What never seems to get a mention about that green lantern story by Moore and O'neill is that the creatures banging the blue skinned drums are blatantly warlocks from nemesis

Number Two Son just got a figure with an eye-patch and my immediate thought was 'Chief Judge Griffin!' but that's about as far as I'm likely to get with that one.

Dirty Frank is feeling overlooked.

I did consider Dirty Frank as well but the expression (and lack of beardage) just screamed Griffin.

the lego mandarin from the iron man box set would make a good dirty Frank

Superb prog , Bolland really needs to do a whole Dredd strip , all the Tharg interludes had great art, the Dredd /Alpha crossover was good fun with great art as always from King Carlos. Nemesis just made me want it to return for another series , always liked Torque better than the Warlock. Rouge trooper was a nice lead into the traitor general series and Rennie's stuff is always entertaining. David Roach's art on Anderson was pure eyegasm. Sinister Dexter had an interesting start as did Counterfit girl. We really are lucky 2000ad is still going strong , gonna try make it London in Feb for their event.

There is also the point of ' HOW did Death come back to this realm' to rescue his buddies in the first place, that's not been explained properly yet .

Yes it has, the Sisters did it.

I think that Frank on the previous page may be into something. Maybe PJ Maybe wasn't in that story at all, and that guy we saw was just another sap who thought he was PJ, and the black voice is the symptom of his brainwashing. If so: poor guy! But that would be brilliant.

i think so too, as for dna match PJ is crafty, be an odd out of character anti-climax if this truly his demise but I think we should keep a close eye on any new characters Wagner introduces to the strip. Hope Mrs G is ok.

gorgeous work, 2000ad should hire you for covers

Something weird going on with PJ the other voice in his head and the lack of spelling mistakes , Mrs Gunderson has always been a chaos magnet so I see her surviving this. I think Ross the doorman is DREDD.

Big news today, despite characterisation being off, it's in continuity!
from PvJDvA #2, page 19:
"I know what these things can do, creep*"
"*see Judge Dredd Vs. Aliens: Incubus"

Yes I was shocked by that as well , it's our DREDD despite all the publicity saying it was the IDW version, mind you i always pretend the mars attacks crossover is in normal DREDD continuity.
