Hey, Squaxx,

I wanted to take a moment here, in the shadow of one of my great inspirations, 2000AD, to let you all know that my new online serial fiction magazine, CHIMERICAL TALES, launched today with the first chapter of the new MYTHSTALKERS serial and a special homage to 2000AD.

We've also got a great original cover by Clint Langley, so it might be worth checking out just to ooh and aah at that.

Anyway, we're live at www.chimericaltales.com, starting off a year of daily serial fiction for the discerning cliffhanger enthusiast! Hope you can spare a moment to check us out!

Yes! CHIMERICAL TALES made its Stretch Goal for the Clint Langley banner cover!

Clint is making time in June for it, and we'll unveil it when we launch on July 1st at www.chimericaltales.com!

If you like 2000AD, you're my audience for CT, so keep an eye out... and if you want to fund us for Stretch Goal #2, an unabridged podcast of our serial fiction, check us out at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/321395714/chimerical-tales-lean-and-mean-remix-edition. You know, that link on the other two messages in this thread.

Thanks for bearing with the shameless but desperate promotion!

With four days to go, we're only $122 away from that Clint Langley cover... and don't forget, for only a $10 pledge you also get the free (well, okay, $10) CHIMERICAL TALES #0 ashcan sampler!

We're still at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/321395714/chimerical-tales-lean-and-mean-remix-edition, waiting for you to discover us!

Hey, all!

Douglass Barre still here, writer of DEFIANCE and MYTHSTALKERS from Image Comics and long time American 2000AD geek.

Having just successfully funded, my upcoming online serial fiction website, CHIMERICAL TALES (www.chimericaltales.com) is now trying to hit our first stretch goal... a banner cover from Clint Langley! I know everyone here knows how talented he is, but he's also a total gentleman, and I'm so excited at the chance to work with him. Now we just have to drum up enough support for the Kickstarter!

CHIMERICAL TALES will be an online serial fiction magazine for the discerning cliffhanger enthusiast, and feature daily chapters on the site before becoming available weekly in ebook format. You can get more details and help us reach our Clint Langley cover goal at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/321395714/chimerical-tales-lean-and-mean-remix-edition.

Thanks!

Happy to answer!

It's a prose fiction magazine with weekly covers by comic artists. Each day of the week there will be a new online chapter of one of five running serials. At the end of the week, the cover, the stories, and new editorial content will be put together into a .pdf magazine file suitable for downloading and reading on tablet, computer or phone.

There are a wide range of pledge amounts, which you can see at the Kickstarter page (they're along the right side of the screen). I personally recommend either the $10 level, where you get a free sample ashcan of the .pdf magazine or the $25 level, where you get a subscription to the .pdf for the entire year. (Okay, I also recommend the $500 level, where you get to make up the title for one of the stories and I have to write it.)

That link again is http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/321395714/chimerical-tales. Thanks for the interest!

Hey, 2000AD fans... Douglass Barre here, writer of MYTHSTALKERS and DEFIANCE from Image Comics. I wanted to post here, because 2000AD is really the spiritual model for my newest project. It's called CHIMERICAL TALES, and it's a new online serial fiction anthology for the discerning cliffhanger enthusiast. I'm running a Kickstarter for it right now, and I'd love y'all to come take a look.

If you like fantasy, sci-fi, or pulp adventure, click and ogle: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/321395714/chimerical-tales

If we get funded, one of the covers for the magazine is going to be by Clint Langley, who you should know is as awesome a gentleman as he is an artist. We've also got upcoming covers from comic greats Matt Howarth, Mike Grell, Mark Oakley and more.

I'll even be continuing MYTHSTALKERS as one of the serials in the magazine, so if you were one of our elite (by which I mean few) fans, you'll finally get to see how the story ends!

Thanks for the attention, folks!
