General / Re: Prog values

Thanks for this link. I had already seen it and I noted that the last update of the page was just over three years ago, plus it doesn?t mention anything about the early gifts which undoubtedly increase the overall value of a prog. Therefore I?m curious as to what users of this board feel is a realistic and reasonable value - in today?s terms - for the first three progs with gifts, based approximately on a very fine rating. Then again perhaps the link provided is still valid meaning that most eBay users are paying way over the odds for these early editions? Many thanks again in advance.

Hello everyone! I?m new to comic collecting and it seems that pricing (and grading) can be an emotive issue within the colleting world. However, I?m curious as to your opinions on what ?high grade? prog?s 1 to 3 - with gifts - are individually valued at. I do look at eBay auctions but from experience eBay is not necessarily a good indication on an items true value. I realise the discussion of prog values must be an ancient topic on this board but I thought I?d ask for an up-to-date perspective from you guys. Thanks in advance.

Off Topic / Re: Farewell to David Brent..........

Favourite scenes from The Office? I rather liked the bit when Tim was talking about dignity on Comic Relief day whilst his colleagues were pulling the trousers and pants off one unfortunate chap. Tim?s irony and David?s delight during this incident had me in stitches.

I also liked the bit where Keith was giving Dawn some advice about personal safety in the US and the importance of using a bum bag ? or fanny pack ? then biting into his scotch egg.

But I did think the first instalment of the Christmas specials was fairly poor, that said, the character observation of the dreadful new woman that Tim worked with was inspired. How many of you work with such a similar and crushing bore?

Overall, I reckon that The Office is a classic British comedy ? a very rare thing these days ? and I?m sure we?ll be watching it in 20 years time with as much delight as we do today.

Have a good day at the office folks!
