DD - I am Scots.  I come from a family of Golf Bores, it reads something like this.
Father - current senior champion and twosome medal champion
Brother in Law - current champion
Sister - barmaid and lady golfer
uncle - former champion
cousins - all have won medals
Mother - once a football widow, now a golf widow.

I am the black sheep of my family....  and fairly proud of it to.

Feck where do I start.

Im a dad of two.

Erm sportswise. I snowboard in winter, surf and mountain bike in summer.  I run 3 times a week and I gym  about 2-3 times a week as well.  Ive taken up challenge to do triathalon next season, 2004.  So Im working up to increasing my physical exercise over the next two or so months.

Im a "keen" diyer (well my wife forces me), having redisigned our bathroom, I have a loft conversion to finish and will be starting on our main bathroom next.

Ive also started to rent out holiday property and I write Roleplaying games (ive just started again), which Im trying to get my kids to play.   I also PBEM on the Dice Orgy website and any other spare time is spent studying (MCSE), reading and watching TV (ER, 24 and the news - current affairs and or historical programs)

Is this enough?!?  I often wonder why I only sleep for 6 or so hours.

I too, and those dreddcon chaps will laugh, rarely drink, due to my fitness regimes.  Problem is I tend to binge a little when let loose, but this occurs about once a quarter......

As for chocolate....  I refuse to comment

Well it is a matter of taste.  But in my humble opinion, dredd was OK.  Im enjoying Family, it has potential.  I like Darkies Mob, but Im not sure if thats because I loved Bad Company so much as a kid.  Black Siddha isnt exactly Mills at his best, its not quite dragon heist or time killer or Sky chariots or the gothic empire.  But its certainly better than it has been.

As I said before these are only my opinions....

In the film they can do what they want.  In the comic Im not so sure, Dredd is mean to be the Faceless prescence of justice.  In american courts Justice herself is represented as a blind lady whose fade is partially covered, its similair with Dredd.  Hes meant to be the lead character but in reality he is just the face of the Justice Dept.

Theonly time I personally want to see Dredd with his helmet off is on his death bed and I suspect thats a long way off......

Hes probably been our only "troll", go to either alt.comics.2000ad (as Art Suggested) or the fantastically funny argue with scojo.  For a pretty good idea.

Personally its best to leave alone, he just loves the attention, it makes him feel important.  I suspect he has little else in his life.

My wife has read the prog on a number of occassions, tried to get involved with a few of the hobbies/sports Im involved in.  But she doesnt have the "dedication" to them I do (shes not as obsessed).  Shell pick up a prog or one of my graphic novels read it, but only if she hasnt anything left to read of her own.  She then looks at me in that slightly patronising way and makes some comment like
"you could write stuff like this?!?!?!"
Erm no..........
