My fave is having more than one job.  Itd be an easy way to get rid of yer wifeys, mother, avon, typing, etc....  It appeals to my lazy nature and TV personalities would only be on TV for one program (Davina?! Anyone)

and as for boarders Boo would be locked up forever, how many jobs has she got?!?!

Now we could guess arts age now?  But he does look rather young.  Not quite as young as Si Spurrier, but young nonetheless.

I digress.  Happy Birthday Art, congratualations and drink and eat lots.

The use of the slips in any form has to be discouraged as I thought you were talking about me.  I can see innuendo in a meadow full of grass, if anything IAM the Freeudian Slips

Im bringing this to the top, spurred on by a comment made on another thread by PVS.  The issue of disliking a story within a prog.

Do we if we dislike something?
Say we dont like it give our reasons and increase the feeling of dislike throughout the board?
or
Say nothing?

Personally I think that we should be able to say we dont like this story or that story (even episode), coz lets be honest there will be someone that doesnt like Dredd or Strontium Dog or any Wagner Creation.......  and they should be allowed to say so...

Plus this thread deserves to be near the top...

Mr Stodge here has a good point, Ive noticed this trend too.

My two cents?
I rather like it here, I spend to much time here and I consider quite a number of people who post here my "friends"*.  We share likes and dislikes, we can slag each other off and not take it too seriously and most of us are at a similair age.  Also ive been dragged into the world of Comicdom and comic conventions (Ive really only ever read 2000ad regularly0 and have bought top ten, Loeg and some DCU comics at the recomendations Ive heard on the board or in the chat room.    Its good in here.

Personally I think we need to be a little more welcoming to outsiders, there is still a certain paranoia about newbies (this is what Ive called the ***** affect) and sometimes the board can a little confusing.  A welcome pack would make this better and I think maybe it should be written by a board regular?!?!?

* - for want of a better description, Id be happy to go drinking again with many peple on the board.

I liked the Story, however, does it not say something that the story we seemed to feel was something of a return to form.  Hardly featured SinDex..........

Hmmm SixDex, you have a point.  I dont think we all hate sindex, I know of a number of regulars who like the download duo.  Ill be happy to name names too.  If you are complaining that we always whinge about SinDex, Id say you were wrong, if it is the focus of our dislike of a prog that is probably correct.

We know its an anthology, personally Id like to see 5 strips I love, but in my 20 odd years or so of reading Im not sure that that has ever happened.  On the subject of whingeing I think we have come to realise that this hasnt been constructive.  In fact I spoke at length with one of the creators of Bison on line, giving reasons at why I disliked the strip.  Id like to say that the only reason I have a strong dislike for something is because it has potential.  Bison had potential and it didnt IMHO work.

SinDex also has potential, it was once a great strip, I just think that its lost its way and needs soemthing different.  As I have stated before, the puns grate me and when you get past the puns, there is little else in the strip.

And finally the only way to stop the Hive mentality that allegedley occurs here, join in and post.  Give us some differing views, we dont shout you down we just discuss.  It is after all a message board and thats what it is here for.

Takes deep breath.

SinDex, actually PVS is right again.  Hey paul is there an ultimate being, life on mars and what is the point of life??  Are maybe some questions you can answer next? :-)

My opinion and I said this a few days ago, once we get past the puns and the hit miss humour is there anything else?  For me the answer is no.  There is no character development, little plot and well even downlode is reduced to a pretty picture that SB Davis draws well.  We need (IMHO) Sin Dex to become more prominent, more on Billi (remember when Demi was a prominent character?) and a villain taht they dont bump off in an episode.  That my freinds is my rescue plan.
