Prog / Re: Prog 1442: Slaine - Freedom or...

Actually, I find the Shakara as a Gesalt entity made from the dead spirits of a once dead race (or similair).  Intriguing.

Rest of the prog was OK.  Dredds coming on, but I hope the niece in peril thing is moved on to something else.

Slaine actually ended on a good note and seems a fitting end for an extended rest of sorts...

Id suggest buying cheaper drinks or drinking something before going out.  It was how I did it as a student, means you can drink on a tenner....

?4 a drink seems a bit much, what expensive cocktails are you drinking :)

I think Dudley has the answer to his original question....

I dont think we are comparing like with like, between Moorcock and Tolkien.  Other than they share the high fantasy bracket.
Tolkien spent his time trying to create an epic myth of sorts.  Moorcock tries to link an epic endless struggle between order and chaos.  I think, its years since I read either.  They both work in places, but dont in others.

I also think Tolkien often gets bashed, he is somethig of an easy target.  Not being around to diss "little england" rumours or defend himself outwith the period it was written, open to modern or post modern (mis)interpretation.

One of the best things said about the films, is that although not faithful, they are dull in the same places....

Thought Id ask the hive, mostly because Im too busy to search through google or download.com.  Blame newfangled Blade Server and VMWare and Advanced server 2003

Problem is this, Ive copied tons of cds on to my HDD at home and my eldest child has either lost or misplaced some of them, and of course my wife is asking for some of the cds that are misplaced to listen to in her car.  Therefore I need to recreate part of my music collection from MP3 to WAV (I think) so she can listen to the CD on a normal cd player in her car.  And Id prefer a free copy too :)

Please help me, never anger her indoors.

Dudley!  You should really stop talking sense, as the unelected in Brussels or those with vested interests here would never allow a free vote like that to take place.....

Wed all probably end up Jedi, if that was allowed :)

Half watched it while drinking.  Just seems like a bunch of people put together that will cause friction.  Or a bunch of people who will get it on.  So in summary Sex and Violence sells.....
