I hope you're raising him on the original Star Trek at least and not that new tosh, DD.

Yes eventually everyone will realise that Next Generation Star Trek is really sh!te...
Id rather watch a Decorating show on TV and watch paint dry....

Star Wars is better than Star Trek.  I felt Babylon 5 was good for 3 or so series lost the plot a bit after the shadow war.

I suppose we could ask Hitchcock or his heirs to do a CGI Vertigo or Harold Loydd to touch up his falling from a building.  (of course wed have to dig them up).  Howabout readoing the whole of Wizard Of Oz in colour, it would take 6 months or less with CGI, Chitty Chitty bang bang...  Maybe ask Ridley Scott to touch up Alien or Blade Runner....

No these films stand the test of time without it, because they are good movies the CGI and effects are incidental.  All Lucas seems to be doing is milking that cash cow, a few times more....

It all seems so sensible when you say that Dudley...  maybe you should try for Prime Minister.....  :)

I dunno Im a simple man (or simpleton, you can choose).  Its difficult for us in the west to leave anything alone.  We love to mess and fiddle and sell....  I wish that Europeans were less guilty of this than we are.  But they are not.

I think Im going to become a recluse and live away from society, as it sickens me and I can claim dole (cant I?!)

I do feel myself wanting to disagree and saying that the Daily Mail is sh1te and playing devils advocate and saying that we dont actually know how many citizens of Iraq would have been killed if Saddam had stayed in power....

But, the war was morally wrong.  It was fought on a false premise and fought to appease an american president who was (like a school bully) spoiling for a fight.  However, we do have a problem in Iraq and we really need to think about a solution.  Not sniping at the poor decisions made in the past.  An appology may actually be a step forward for the west (that I doubt will ever happen)

Of course I will not be voting for Blair in the next election (nor Howard - that choice is to scary, something of the dark about him??  Definatley)

miami vice - yeah I agree shite
star trek OTS (its for a friend) - what rather than Star Trek next gen.  Uuurgh.  Oh lets all go round and be really nice to each other.  Lets talk about it.  Fer fecksake its meant to be entertaining...  Watch the Parliamentary channnel instead, at least it has relevence.  (anyone guess I hate next gen?).  So id rather buy OTS
babylon 5 - Series 1 & 2 are fairly exceptional and dark for a US TV Series
edge of darkness - Brilliance

Having said that theres probably DVD's of
Baywatch
Knight Rider
Battlestar Galactica
Buck Rogers
Anything by Aaron Spelling.
Beverley Hills 90210 (or whatever)

But I suppose it comes down to personal taste :)

Prog / Re: 1398 - Dead Reckoning....
12 July, 2004, 05:50:00 PM
Yeah good Prog

Cover - Is nice in that Langley Ghost way and I like his Sin and Dex, in fact his Sin Dex is a good depiction

Dredd - Best thing in the prog by man country miles, shock in the episode is class and a little unexpected.  Wagner is on top form with this.

SinDex - Ok, Like the art.  Dont like Sin Dex though the introduction of Croak is interesting

Tyrany - I want to like this.  But I find Smiths language difficult and the opening episodes have put me off somewhat.  But it picks up and is much better.

Future Shock - Well Diggle delivers an old style future shock with a SHOCK at the end.  OK its predictable, but its a reasonable twist

Lowlife - Funny, good story and I actually feel that the heroine is in peril.  I really like this and if Dredd wasnt so brilliant.  It would be the best thing in the prog..

A letter from Floyd and a good Droid Life.  Good prog all round.

Help! / Re: web fu vs spyware
09 July, 2004, 04:01:57 PM
Like j-bo said but close down all explorer windows (internet, search, c:, my documents)as the file that runs spyware tends to hide in the code and runs a renew script whenever an explorer window is open.

If none of these work use, search through Download.com to find another malware killer....
