I remember watching this bleeding thing from infant school. The person chasing the kid was freaky, but not as freaky as that fucker Wordy.

I thought it was called the Green Man though. Clearly I was wrong.

Sorry if I've started any psychological breakdown there Si, but from recent Megs I would say you are halfway there already.

I've just remembered one other thing that used to ferak me. There was an episode of the Benny Hill show where all the electrical appliances came to life and killed everyone.

They were led by the televisions which exuded this strange glow from the screens. Unfortunatley it looked exactly like the old televisions when you turned them off. Caused me lots of sleepless nights that.

In fact just checked out Sly's official site and it describes the Dredd premise thusly.

"In a standard comic book dystopian near-future Americans are ensconced in mega-cities which protect them from the desolation of the world outside, and the peace is kept by The Judges."

Near-future?

Film & TV / He won't revive you know who, will he?

Stallone's bringing out another Rambo film, now he's finished another Rocky film.

You don't reckon he'll try for another Dredd, do you?

And if he does - will this be a good or a bad thing? Obviously the first one (and his acting) didn't get the best reviews, but a second bite of the cherry could rectify it. Maybe. Especially if Judge Death is around.

SPOOKY! As I typed that the physical letter popped through my letter box.

It says the deadline to get in touch is November 2 on my letter - next Wednesday. What's the problem? It even says you can email them back so you don't have to wait for the post.

General / ABC Warriors - The Black Hole
28 October, 2005, 04:38:18 PM
Recently got this through the post and just finished it. My approach to this tome wasn't as fanatical as I thought it would be, as I had lent Meknificent Seven to my friends and they thought it was awful. I enjoyed it, but wondered if that was more to do with nostalgia than substance.

The long and shotr of it is - its hard work. Certainly the first two thirds of the story leaps around like no-ones business and its hard to keep tabs on what is happening and why, all nicely put off by Khaos theory.
I get the feeling that the Nemesis stroylines in which the ABCs were involved were much more interesting. Are these going to be re-released? What happened to Happy?

The final third is kick ass though and almost worth the slog through the start of the story.

It's well renowned for Bisley's work on it, but I thought the stripes by SMS were astounding. Anyone know why this was the only thing he did for tooth?

Plus... are there any plans for a Book 3?

I've had it with ebay for now. Got sniped last night  and it's really pissed me off.

I didn't mind losing as I hadn't bid that much, but to be sniped has left a nasty taste in my mouth.

Bastards.

?18,000.. cos that's all he needs for beer money

Hang on... I thought he was Scottish. And he says he only spends 18k on beer money (and some CDs and film tickets)? If that doesn't interest Inland Revenue, nothing will.
