I thought its not so bad as a stepping stone into authorship. If you can make a living from it then great, but let's face it, these novels are unlikely to sell by the bucketload.

TBH I would do it for free. At least the first one, but I'm masochistic. And desperate.

Is that the tardis noise at the start?

I know nothing about music, but its reminiscent of the Oasis track Fucking in Bushes. And I quite like that.

Why aren't all the tracks available?

Oooh. Hark at 'er.

It just strikes me you could make a bit more effort. In fact, I'm kinda surprised you've returned after placing your ad.

You've gone to the trouble of signing up but apparently can't be bothered taking that extra step. Why not try putting some details on the message or even attaching a picture of said item? It really is incredibly easy and would help your auction.

But, if you're so fond of cutting and pasting

At least make it easier for would-be buyers if you're going to pimp your shit on here.

This was always going to happen, but Catch 22 is my favourite book ever. The narrative does jump around somewhat though, so it can be hard work.

However the sequel - Closing Time - is a waste of time.

I'll possible get flamed for this but The Lord of the Rings Trilogy? I got half way through the second book before just giving up. Strangely enough that's about as far as I got with the films too.

Books & Comics / Re: New Asterix book
17 October, 2005, 11:55:12 PM
The writer (can't remember which one is which) has used Aliens to represent the Americans. As the Yanks weren't around during Asterix's time, they've used green eyed monsters instead.

Putting a political message in a kids book might be a bit Pat Mills, but I'm just glad to see another Asterix book.

Well that was a huge surprise.

And I don't mean who has returned.

I'll leave it to yourselves to find out.

Bloody hell.

Megazine / Meg 238 - Bastards... and a tooth crossover
17 October, 2005, 05:01:27 PM
Surprised to get the new Meg through the post this morning (once again in the same envelope as tooth - does anyone else get this) and the front cover looks real nice in the flesh (paper?).

Not read it yet, so don't know who the bastard is  but the rundown includes

Dredd - Blackout
Shimura - The Harder They Come
Anderson PSI - Lucid
Simping Detective - Petty Crimes
Charley's War

...and interestingly a second Dredd story involving Giant and Guthrie which is the second part of a bonus Dredd story in this week's tooth.

Another cross-promotion fellahs (and ladies). Time to buy both publications.

Again?

Not doing any conning at the moment. Poor Andy is on  medication for stupid but visually impressive knee injury after playing football.
