I don't mind this artwork, there's been worse on the mag since I've been buying it. The best thing I would say is that I didn't realise it was his debut, so it was solid enough.

I'd much prefer reading a Dyer to a new style McMahon, which I think sucks balls and detracts from the story.

I wonder how many people would still be complaining if they were told that this story wouldn't be included in any future collections?

Tempest seemed to have a complete change in character for me this month. I still enjoyed the tale, but he suddenly became loquacious from nowhere.

I, for one, am enjoying Bob the Galactic Bum. It's a nice change of pace.

Dredd was fine, if not really interesting.

But Armitage.... dear me. The story has been pretty boring over the last few months, but this wrap up has to be the worst, laziest thing I have read in ages. How weak is the blond/blonde clue that unravels everything and gets the bad guy to spontaneously confess everything? What was all that nonsense with the lawyer and the tiresome sub-par legalise she was talking? Appalling.

I got the feeling that this story ambled for four episodes then went for the breakneck resolution in the fifth. Very odd.

I don't mind seeing Armitage return, but lets have more of him than Steele and her family life (boring). The art was pretty good though.

Volgans' scapegoating of some poor sod who can do sod all about either

You see, I read this as the train guy being complicit with Savage and this new uber-enemy is so smart that he could see it. Got the vibe, if you like.

I do like Ten Seconders dialogue this week. I find it rings truer than most.

Ermmm... you might want to ask Wake to delete this thread. Mr Cole has been successfully litigious about this issue.

Funny vid though!

General / Capello as Dredd

On the Guardian's football website one of the wags has depicted Fabio Capello, the new England manager, as Judge Dredd.

Don't quite know why. Maybe its the chin. I like the Three lions instead of the respirator though.

Cheers Wils, but is it worth the extra effort? What does it add that a pdf won't bring to the party?

You know what? I'm going to switch from my paper subscription to an online one.

I don't have the room in my London flat for a collection and this will make it easier to go back and read.

What can read CBR files and is it worth the extra effort of downloading such a programme?

And in a city that clones its best Judges, surely the idea that DNA is a 100% perfect way of assessing guilt is a bit flawed anyway?

I thought this Mega City 1 hadn't got around to cloning judges, which is why Dredd had a faked family?

Personally, and you're going to hate me for this, I didn't mind Rob Schneider, or his character, in this. The film just was not the sum of its parts.

And also - do we REALLY care, REALLY that we haven't seen Dredd's face in the comic? I reckon we should disregard this now as it could become a barrier to storytelling. I'm not saying have him helmetless every episode, but once every four months for the right reasons wouldn't go amiss.
It's not as if we don;t know what he would look like. Check out Carlos Ezquerra's adaptation of this very movie for what Dredd's creator thinks he looks like.

What a load of balls this video is.
I actually bought the CD (reached 17th in the charts no less) but hadn't seen this promo.

The only reason Dredd's in it is for a cheap joke with Judge Dread, but in  strange kind of way that bit works. The uniform aint too shoddy either.

Good spot.

What? I didn't even realise the voting was going on.
Fortunately I would have voted for the eventual winner anyway.

Thanks for those who voted for my effort, even though they are not supposed to be proper entries!

Fair enough. I don't think it's too bad (especially after you know what in the Megazine last year).

Dredd and Dante are great reads.
Who's Arkady trying to look like? I can't work it out.

10 Seconders is still confusing, hope we get a bit more of an idea what's happening next week. I am enjoying it though.

Dead Eyes and Savage are both readable, for now. Not particularly exciting though.

I've asked John for the scripts so I won't have to read it in the Prog at all.

Logan I know that you've helped Mr Wagner with continuity stuff before, but this makes you sound like a right numpty.
