I'm over in the states on a training course with work but I have the weekend off... then go and explore the New England coast.

Avoid Innsmouth, Froggy-Fish-People live there

Good point. Hope he doesn't feel drawn to the place.

I'm over in the states on a training course with work but I have the weekend off. I'm about to go and eat a hearty breakfast and then go and explore the New England coast.

Fantastic. We aim to visit NE.  Wifes company has offices there and we have people we can stay with.  We just need to do it when our son is a bit older and we can do it without it getting in the way of school (or without him) as we want to go in Autumn.

Prompted by a posting on here I decided to get my cholestorol tested, having been high ten years ago but done nothing due to being alergic to statins.

Glad i did, turns out my BP is too high, pre hyper-tension, apparently and my chol has risen far too much.  Gotta be seen by heart person now and be under the heart nurse at the docs to get proper medication for both BP and chol.  It's annoying. I'm not overweight, i have a reasonably good diet (but like a few treats i guess) and I keep fit and exercise pretty much every day in some way.  I guess none of it can entirely change things if you have a tendency to this.

Not good but then, better to sort it now than die in 10 years time, as a friend of mine sadly did.

Thanks for prompting me to do so Rog69.

Very chuffed with my eye situation. Three years after the surgery the over correction which left me sightless for a short while and struggling for years has all but gone and they are the straightest and strongest they've been since I was a kid. Looking like the surgery took it's time but has paid off and that going part time is giving the eyes the break they need.

Very pleased after years of problems.
