I loved that show as a kid, as did many of us back then.

I dont get the purpose of electric showers and if your shower doubles up as a bath [over the bath] then just run the shower off the hot and cold water as you dont have electric baths.

Perhaps someone knows better than i do even though i have refurbished various flats and houses ?

We have one as we have no Gas or Oil and thus only heat the main tank at night with electric.  To run our showers would empty it really quickly I think so we have a seperate electric shower.

This sounds fascinating.  Living down here in the sticks I never got to see something like this.

I'd love to see it as i can't entirely visualise it right now.

My sofa is starting to fall to bits.

Going to have to buy one some time soonish.  Bummer.

I can relate to that after being in the IT team of a social housing trust for many years.  You get both.

Up this morning for my Coffee. Wifey says "Go have your cerial the kids can have toast".
"No Marge" (but I left it at that).

Installed a customer with TV Phone and Broadband. Two hours later I get a call from Customer Services saying said customer had no dial tone (I always ring test before I leave properties).
Arrives at customers house to find that he unplugged his power unit from the wall and forgot to put it back in.
Waste my time fucking prick. Who say's the customer is always right. Wankers.

Nice one Fishy! Having the uncertainty of hospital visits for older rellies is crap. You never know if 'this is it'. Anyway, glad it was a false alarm.

Thanks Mikey.  Yep spot on there, that's the worry you have that's not there normally for younger folk.

Better news on the father in law.  Seems nothing too serious at the mo so just being checked over, rested and pumped with drugs.

The wifes Dad has had to go into hospital with breathing problems.

It's more of a worry as he's 83 and been pretty ill a few years back with cancer.

Weekend plans of course all off (quite rightly).

Hoping all is ok, my Dad's already gone so we certainly don't want to lose him too.

RIP Randy, another of the wrestling greats from my youth gone.  Sad news.

I've never had a REAL cornish pasty then. What is the hive mind's opinion of those Cornish Pasty Meat Company stalls that are springing up near rail stations?

Can't speak for the hive but some of those are from the West Cornwall Pasty company and are a lot closer to the real thing.  Not great but OK and more than decent enough.
