I too watched this, your Majesty, and I thought it was tip top stuff. Perhaps Carlisle's performance didn't quite bring out the charisma, but I think it perfectly captured the atmosphere of those early days. I think he nicely got that fanaticism, that vehemence, that made him a madman ...

If her friend isn't already in on the deal, your g/f will still find out. And then the whole thing will be your fault. She will get what she wants - a reason to dump you without guilt, which is why she's not already done it.

Actually, this sounds spookily similar to my last g/f ...

Her name's not Vicky is it? Shortish, with red hair? Comes from Devizes?
