Other Reviews / Re: DEAD MEAT.

Is this not a good time to mention that I really enjoyed Dead Meat? Was reading it only the other day and was thinking how much I'd liked it when I first read it.

so there.

(I'm going to get ripped limb from limb at Bristol aren't I!)

"There's something about a guy who can become a different historical warrior every week that sounds inherently old fashioned and contrived. Yet the potential for variety is a godsend, at least artistically."

Surely favourite of every 70s child 'Mr Ben' had already cornered that particular market?

Right on bro! Kelly was one of those classic heroes (like the Iron Claw et al) that never really saw their full potential. Does anyone remember that special which updated the old strips? Had the Claw in it drawn by Sean Philips. classic.

Ah, the truth will out!

Good on yer Bou (and Pete!), hope it really works out fer ya. Oh bless, I'm blushing with joy now (yes, really). It's great when people get together  (yes, honestly) and all thanks to modern technology!

And no offense, but now that things are revealed perhaps this thread will stop - we seem to be rapidly running out of posts that actually have the 'reply' option underneath!

Ah, the mileage.

I lived in Rochdale, she lived in Leeds.

I'd jump in the car the second it reached 5pm on a Friday. She'd await my arrival.

I had one major car accident and 20 near-misses on the motorway over about 10 months. She nearly had several heart attacks.

I now live in Leeds and my life is very different but much better. She also lives in Leeds and keeps asking me where I hide her contact lense solution.

And I'll never have to go on the bloody M62 again! (until we go visit my parents ... in Liverpool)

I met my girlfriend on the internet and we've been together for a year and three months now!

And all that for just ?150!

Joke, that's a joke folks (oh god!)

People always look a little surprised when we tell them and sometimes WE have to remind ourselves how we met. It is very surreal but it's no different to meeting someone in a bar or somesuch social place. If you're feeling lonely, go to www.match.com and tell 'em Mike and Laura sencha!

(nice one Bou, lots of nice images floating around in my head now! Mainly involving spikey heels...)

Very true. But can't quite believe that the twins in white suits and dreadlocks are the builders off of that Carol Vorderman home improvement show!

Just been to see Bulletproof Monk (pleeeeeeeease don't bother!) and it was like they'd designed the adverts just for me: Matrix, Terminator 3, X-Men, Hulk, Tomb Raider.

X-Men looks the best tho - sent shivers down my spine when Xavier said 'I pity the person who walks into that school looking for trouble'.

But I was young and Robo Hunter had bright colours!!!!!!!!!!!!! It wasn't helped that you couldn't bloody well see Critchlow's artwork! And I didn't get the references in Bill Bailey so I didn't vote for it.

I'm going to earn the condemnation of the board here: I,LONGMANSHORT, ENJOYED MILLAR'S ROBOHUNTER! AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP ME! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

(But I also enjoyed the older stuff, so go figure!)
