You'd never use a typical controller instead of the keyboard & mouse Hoo-Haa?

If you would, the Dead Space trilogy is your obvious answer.

I don't think there was the option on the copy I have, Prime. Just keyboard/ mouse.

And then there's the jerky graphics...

I believe it works ok with an X-Box 360 wireless controller, but ain't 100% sure.
If you find the graphics too jerky that can't be helped though!

You could skip to the slicker graphics of DS2...the plots so convoluted you probably won't miss much!

Seriously great prize there Jimbo.
Let's hope this taste for original art isn't as slippery a slope as it is for some of us...

Nice one Radiator.
Coincidentally, those Visas got approved 24 hours after you got bored with GTA V. Who'da thunk it?

I'm pretty sure The Adventurer is a Canuck, as he's added 'eat Poutine til you puke or explode' to my Bucket List.

Welcome aboard by the way Mimikeke!

I work at EA at the Dead Space location, we aren't working on a new DS4 right now.  But please don't quote me on that :p

Were sales that bad on Dead Space 3, Mimikeke?

Well, there's plenty of room for more modern horrors here, to be fair.

I still betting we'll be getting one new Dark Judge of our own in a few months- PJ Maybe.

Yeah, read that last night and nearly choked.
Don't know if I'm against the idea of more Dark Judges just cause its IDW Dredd, or if it's how I really feel.

By the way, I have vague recollections of different Dark Judges (Judge 'Drac', 'Hate'...?) in a Dredd story from an alternate Judda dimension. Think Brett Ewins drew it, can't quite recall.

My gaming was consumed by a heady mix of GTA, Zelda & Mario for the past few months, so only catching up on a few of last year's releases now.
Just finished Dead Space 3, and am relieved it ain't near as bad as some of the negative reviews made out.

I had expected an 'always on' co-op (with AI in place of a 2nd player, ala Resident Evil Zero, if you were playing solo), but pleasantly this isn't the case- the solo campaign is entirely your path to walk, and for a game of this ilk I wouldn't have it any other way.
A meaty 20ish hour game too, with plenty of side missions and weapon creation options.
I finished it in 3-4 days, including a 'quiet' weekend and quite enjoyed it.
I had thought the story finished by the end (
macro threat stopped, and Isaac killed off
), but have heard the DLC takes place directly after the ending,
with Isaac having seemingly survived, unscathed. Groan
.
Not sure if I dig that to be honest, and I certainly raised an eyebrow at its 10 quid price tag (despite being almost a year old).
If I see it going cheap, I'll pick it up.

So yeah- Dead Space 4 in 2016 on PS4?

Books & Comics / Re: New Comic Book Day Megathread
11 February, 2014, 07:18:42 AM
Going for a mini blow-out tomorrow;

All New X-Factor 3 (The 'make or break' issue for this title- I really want to limit the amount of fortnightly comics on my pull list, so am itching for a reason. Give me one PAD. Please.)
Batman 28 (An arc so yawn inducing, I'll admit I haven't even read last months yet. How many more months of this? Four? Ah FFS...)
Superior Spider-Man 27 (My affection for a fresh take on Spidey is up as soon as PP gets back...not long now).
Royals Masters of War 1 (I'm a huge fan of Williams & Coleby, but had intended to trade-wait this. Just found out its a mini, not an ongoing, so what the hell. Definitely one for your average 2000AD fan I would think).
X-Force 1 (You will not buy new X books from Marvel. Repeat, you will not buy new X books from Marvel. Yeah, but Si Spurrier is writing your favorite 90's mutants with some funky new artist. Sigh. Go on then).
Revolutionary War: Deaths Head II 1 (Haven't picked any other books in this series up, but artist Nick Roche- who's lifelong dream in drawing Deaths Head is realized- is signing / sketching at 6pm tomorrow, and my LCS are throwing a bit of a party for him afterwards. I'm on board, Yes?).

Review: too much Marvel on that list. Sorry, PAD.

Still not seen the sequel, largely because a) it's censored and I won't watch censored films

It's the very reason that I bought it online. I just don't like being told what I can / can't watch.
It is quite distressingly disgusting, and certainly a film I wont be going back to for a re-watch.
But its there- in the 'Forbidden' sub-section of my collection...

PS- I agree with your sentiments on the 1st film SBT- I don't think it's a masterpiece, but it's very well executed and nowhere near as graphic as it could have been.

Every saga has an ending, and fortunately, the Ewoks got to play 'Friends in Low Places' at the end of this one.

Last Thursday morning I had a small army online & poised to strike at 8.55am for the 4th concert date (including 3 work colleagues, 2 best mates, sister, brother in law and a few others).
My over-cautious missus was having none of it, so queued up with a friend for 15 hours overnight outside the Ticketmaster in Naas to ensure she got those golden tickets.
Maybe she was right- out of all the peeps I had trying, only one of us managed to snag 2 tickets online.
In the end she ended up getting a total of 12 tickets, and has divvied them up between her sisters and associated country music lovin fruit cakes.

As an aside; a 5th concert date also sold out last week- that's a total 400,000 people going to see Brooks this July.
I'd expect less hysteria if it turned out John & George had faked their deaths and were reforming the Beatles.
