Got a 'Brown / Wood' Nemesis delivered today...it's really cool!

Update: it's really cool, but will not stop falling over.
I'm gonna have to be a bit imaginative regarding where I display the little Drokker....he needs support!

Wow, I love new app The Room, so smartest puzzle game! It on sale of 69p at iOS.

I loved this too, and would definetly buy a sequel.
Didn't like the overly generous 'hint' option....I'd prefer to get stuck and come back to it when frustration levels dropped!

A must buy.

Original Driver (Porteus Steenkamp) Complete Costume & Accessories - 032 - 16 bids £71.00
A win for the Cellar and only beacuse this is my size in every piece of clothing and shoes. How lucky

Those sketchers, ballet pants and matching wifebeater are preserved for the benefit of all fandom. Now is the time to consider making your collection a bequest to the nation.

Sounds like Bennet's outfit from 'Commando'!  :D

Action Comics – Just cos its Morrison

I used to be the same...til I realised that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be a good comic.
Gave 'Action Comics' 3 issues...I genuinely thought it was mediocre at best, and nowhere near as good as his 'All Star Superman' run.
Still digging his 'Batman Inc' though.

Has anyone made the "Money for ..." gag yet?

Judge Jack a few days ago I believe...and I agreed with him.

I'm also getting the 'Before Watchmen' stuff, but its almost at an end.

How is it so far? I'm kind of a purist of the original and never dared to touch it

To give a hysteria free answer; its generally good. Some of it is excellent (Minutemen & Silk Spectre)

Cool, good job the first volume is Minutemen/Silk Spectre then! I re-read Watchmen again just the other week and reminded me how much I would love a book of the Pirate comic!. I'm keeping an eye on the Before Watchmen books hoping Amazon slash the prices as they seem to be doing of late with their graphic novels.

I wouldnt be surprised if that Minutemen / Silk Spectre collection will be the only one most people pick up, as I cant see the other collections getting anywhere near as good reviews.

Some really nice sub-plots in Minutemen, particularly if anyone was wondering just what did happen Hooded Justice...

Some of it is excellent (Minutemen & Silk Spectre), some good enough (Dr. Manhattan), and some just ok (Rorschach & Nite Owl).
To my disappointment, there doesn't seem to be an over-arching sub-plot, and the back-up Pirate strip by John Higgins seems to be completely superfluous (but enjoyable).

I've heard that DC are going to put together collections based on the writers input.
To that end, I'd strongly recommend the Darwyn Cooke collection to any comic reader, regardless of their position on the concept of Before Watchmen.

I've trimmed my pull list down to the bare bones over the past year. At this moment in time;

  • Locke & Key
    Prophet
    Transformers Regeneration One
    Saga
    X-Factor
    IDW Dredd
    The Unwritten
    Batman
    Batman Inc

I'm also getting the 'Before Watchmen' stuff, but its almost at an end.

Loved David Roach's art this month, and the promo for Witch's Promise was great.
Hope we see more of this AAA Droid this year.
Wow- thank you so much Earthlett. It does seem to be my month- with 2 Dredd strips and an interview. I hope to do some more as soon as I can. But, st the risk of sounding a bit out of the loop... what's an AAA Droid?

You're very welcome David. The 'AAA' ("Triple A") is in reference to the high regard I've held your work since 'Purity's Story' many moons ago.
It's very nice of you to pop into the forum- keep us posted on any upcoming work!
