Azzalero has done some excellent work on 100 Bullets which is well worth picking up in the collections, however apart from Hard Time I wasn't hugely keen on his Hellblazer run, firstly it didn't really have that Hellblazer feel  for some reason, and a lot of the stories felt over stretched, however there is some good stuff in there, I just think maybe it would have been better as a new series with a different protaganist. The last arc seemed to be some bizare gay fan fiction version of Batman and the Joker, which seemed a little odd.
I've been a vertigo fan boy for donkeys years and at the moment am really enjoying Careys run on Hellblazer and the excellent Lucifer. Much better than anything he did in tooth.

I've always really liked Germany and found the people very friendly on numerous european tours, up to the point of having had a couple of German girlfriends.
austria however is a horrible place with residents who make even bavarians look modest and introspective, and a gendarmerie who appear to be under the strange dillusion they're prison guards from cool hand Luke.

Ok so Friday at the Dog, 8 ish?
Slips parking is pretty awkward round there and the bastard clamper firm really do extract the piss in Portsmouth, any one got a good suggestion for parking close by?
Oh and recogniton wise I won't be wearing my motty coat and have had my hair cropped since I was last held upright by Wils to have a photo taken. Anyone got a good way of identifying ourselves? and more to the point can we list our real names as I dont really want to ask strangers if their MR C or Tank Grrl or worst of all "Hi are you grud almighty?" and get looked at like I require sectioning,

Pompey con sounds like a good plan, I think theres a few of us on the area and IIRC Mr C is a Gosport dweller (poor bugger)
 However:
Witherspoons whilst cheap is chavtastic, as is the whole guildhall.
Honest Politicains Ok though, and theres a good juke box in the One Eyed Dog, so the Albert Road/ Vic Road areas probably the best place to do it.

Jim
Please note: Whilst Pompey is a shit hole it's my shit hole so be nice about it, or I'll use the sacred power of Burberry to destroy you all (or at least TWOC your motors.

I'm scottish, living in England of Scottish and Welsh ancestroy, and if you'll excuse me saying it I hate all this racial /mystical celt wankery.
It all ways seems way to close to the Teutonic uberman fantasy and makes me feel uncomfortable. Its your culture that matters not whever your gret granny3 shagged a Saxon a Ginge. I imagine any children I spawn will be less Scottish as they'll be brought up in england than say an Asian family in brought up in Glasgow

Like an evil computer in a Star Trek episode the sheer scope for piss taking has led to an insult overload and I 'm expecting to self destruct shortly.

Savage works much better if read in the style of a  Carry on Movie. Seriously give it a try, preffrably doing the voices.
My ideal casting for Carry on Savaging would be:

Harry H corbett - Bill Savage
Hatti Jaques      Bill's sister
Cahrles Hawtrey   Noddy
Kenneth Williams  Camp secret Police man
Bernard Bresslaw  dead secret Police man
Sid James         Passign Window cleaner

Try it, its GOLD!

almost despite myself i'm really enjoying Savage, like a fat kid in McDonalds I know it's bad for me, know it doesn;t taste that good yet have to keep coming back.
Top Tip: Camp upper class homosexual  Secret Police men. Despite what you think you may not be the best person to infiltrate ranting blue collar homophobic Class warrior Bill Savages gang. Just a thought...
