Don't they get mistaken for shooting stars?

You *do* get that that's a joke, right?  You can never be too sure with these stupid Mac owners...

"I'm still not backing down on the Mac PC debate."

I'm not asking you to back down- in fact, you were the one that brought it up.

Why are Mac users so much like TV evangelists?!?  You've found your Nirvana and can't understand anyone that doesn't share your enthusiasm- it's a bit mental.  I've worked with Macs and PCs for years and always had less trouble with PCs- which is why I went back to using them full time.

There was something on the TV a few weeks back, that I only caught the tail end of- but they were basically comparing Macs and PCs.  It seems that they came up pretty equal- until you dropped them both down the stairs.  The Mac was a virtual write off because although you *could* get the parts for it, you had to order them in and the cost was so prohibitive, you were pretty much better off to just replace the damn thing.  Of course, a quick trip to PC World for your busted PC and forty minutes later- up and running again.

Able to burn music I already own, or be able to get back to work within a couple of hours.... Hmmm... it's a toughie...

;)

That said, as previously mentioned on another thread, if the good reports I hear about the latest Macs keep coming in (no bugs or hassles), then I might switch the next time I upgrade- just so that I can burn my CDs.  Oh, and I don't use a mouse either.

The end result is what counts.  Irritatingly, I forgot to add this bit to my last post.

Or to put it another way, you can have an Audi TT and still drive it like my Gran.

What the..?!? This thread's two years old!  I've long since given up- especially now that just about every CD I buy is unfairly copy controlled...

BAH!

No.  My brain's full- reckon I'll have to ask a mate- thanks anyway!

Now then- mates.  Who's still speaking to me?

Slow down!  Slow down!!  I'm an artist remember?!?

This is a music CD I'm talking about here- just so we're all on the same page.  Excuse my huge thickness in such matters- but are you saying that I should copy the tracks to my hard drive and then copy from there to my blank CD?  Can I do that?  Stop laughing at the back!!

It's Nero by the way- more luck than judgement I can tell you...

Cheers.

OK troops- I'm attempting to make a few compilation music CDs- purely for home use of course- and have a nice new 48 speed writer.  Can anybody tell me why the end cocking result is always the same- a copy that jumps?!?

Somebody suggested copying at a slower speed, but I'm getting the same problems with jumping and wotnot at 16 speed as I do at 48.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm almost annoyed.

Yeah, I actually made an effort to drag my ass out of bed and watch it.  Bloody annoying voice, what, eh chaps?!?  But yeah- it wasn't too bad- especially liked those creepy aliens- too scary for eight year olds surely- even I had to sleep with my Winnie the Pooh night light on last night...

I'd get Zenith a new writer who actually wanted to take the story to it's natural conclusion.

And I'd force Yeowell back into his old style to make it nice to look at too.

Pffft- I forgot to watch it...

Kev Sutherland went to my school though- couple of years older than me.  There's a GREAT picture of him on Friends Reunited as well...

If I can be bothered I'll sort the link out sometime- it's quite a scary pic.

Ah yes- Captain  Britain and Slaymaster slugging it out on Denmark Street!

"Look at that leap- it must be an olympic record!"

"He's not leaping, he's flying"

Pure class- they just don't write them like that anymore...
