As I understand it, Morientes isn't eligible to play tonight which is a shame as he was so crucial to the Monaco Champions League run when he was on loan from Madrid..

2-1 Liverpool in extra time ;)

I've often wondered what kind of (to borrow someone else's jargon) 'creative type' willfully tosses away all of their artistic integrity on a project like this, why?

++ Made the bloke about ?6million.... ++

There's about 6,000,000 reasons why right there.

Question; How many of us could say they would prefer to be dirt poor by comparison but true to themselves?

Meh..

Michael Carroll, The Lotto Lout.

Repeat offender and self-proclaimed "King Of Chavs" who won 9.7 million pounds in 2002.

Contemptible sack of sh*t finally took a beating- for charity.

Nice.

Film & TV / Re: Worst film you have ever watch...

What's worse than Highlander II?

Innocuously listed as 'Highlander Endgame..' etc. an overlooked column inch of TV guide led me to believe I was about to be treated to a small hours repeat of the first film at stupid o'clock in the morning.

No such luck.

This straight-to-terrestrial travesty of a pilot film for the (consciously avoided) TV series Highlander has to be *one* of the worst films I have had the misfortune of discovering.

Sorry, forgot to add- the deck of cards come from Muji, a Japanese chain that sells everything from furniture to slippers(?) to inexpensive India ink brush pens, which was what i was in there for a the time.

If you don't have one nearby, i'm sur e they have a web presence.

The plan was to get anyone and everyone from friends, acquaintances, small pressers and professionals alike to pick a card at random then draw a character of their choice on it (with the exception of Sean Phillips' Genocide Jones and Ben Clark's Griefbringer which were requests)

Suffice to say I didn't get so many, missed a few boarders and droids I regret not asking but then the prospect of hounding people with the "pick a card" routine all weekend didn't appeal.

Thanks to everyone who did draw something- Cheers.

Found OVS in Forbidden Planet Leeds today.. wasn't marked up with a price, I asked them how much it retailed for (I paraphase here) they said something like;

"Er dunno, how thick is it?' (thumbs pages) "..how about 4? no, er, let's say 3.99"

Browsed a bit longer then left them discussing who's "Sithier"- Vader or Maul.

Idiots.

Yes, the lack of an award ceremony on Friday night was small disappointment in an otherwise great weekend.

Details later, pure shattered right now.
