I have flu.. I have spent the last two days in bed, sleeping.. eating soup.. surfing the net on a lap top and.. sleeping.

I have also discovered that Dr. Stephen Hawking, world-renowned astrophysicist is also a hard-core gangsta rapper.

'The Mighty Stephen Hawking is a fucking Quake god,
got my finger on the trigger and my eye on the quad.
I know it's just a game, but I didn't come to play,
the Hawkman cometh and he's bringing Doomsday.
You say, "impressive", I already know it,
I'm a hardcore player and I'm not afraid to show it.
I got a Phd in pain and a masters in disaster,
the mighty Stephen Hawking is a fucking QuakeMaster.'

Can think of better ways to spend a Saturday evening than having to go to School Disco..

recently spent all my Euros on overly expensive coffee, huddled next to the only sanctioned ashtray for half a kilometre crashing all my duty free cigs to airport support staff, cat-napped on a departure lounge floor for three hours.

Given the choice- i'd choose Schiphol airport ever ytime.

Found; One Slaine GN in bubble wrap envelope at the bottom of an overflowing wire mesh in-tray on my kitchen table just after I returned from Amsterdam.

Okay, found the *other* thread at bottom of the board..

Nearly always the last one to have 'been there, seen it, done it etc.'

++ On Molcher-baiting, how about you lot give it a rest? I'm a bit bored with the same old 'joke,' which wasn't all that funny in the first place. Why is every LMS thread an excuse for slagging him for a delayed arrival at Bristol? ++

For the record;

On the Friday Mike and myself traveled down to Bristol we didn't get to the M1 proper until gone three and were making good time until we hit the longest tailback o' traffic snaking out of the Bristol area at rush hour- seemed like everyone wanted to be in the West Country that weekend.

We didn't get lost at any point and it had nothing to do with the diminutive stature or modest top speed of Dinky (Mike's car). We were just unlucky.

Besides, better to arrive fashionably late than not at all..

I'm sure Mike will agree it saved us a few quid not having to get loads of rounds in that neither of us could really afford ;)

Mike is an excellent travel companion and I wouldn't hesitate to ride shotgun once again should the offer arise.

Now let's get back on topic-

Denoting the development of the comic strip/book through the 20th century by attributing an umbrella title, starting with the *Golden Age* seems absurd to me.

Why, if you follow the cycle through logically, surely we're witnessing the *Tin-Foil Age* of comics now ;)

FIVE HOURS.. oh an hour.

A couple of friends are putting on a gig at the Sela Bar opposite Alders, Leeds, Thursday night.

If yer up fer it we can meet up, have a jar in the Angel first off, then head up the street.

Oh, and the offer's open to LMS too- if he can be bothered to turn up ;p
