Bad Andy said:

"And the story has even ripped off Wallace and Gromit's were-rabbit thing. OKay maybe not, but what a coincidence to get two in the same month."

Hmmph, make that THREE in the same month! I'm getting four interactive books for special needs children published this year and the first one is called, you guessed it, 'Curse of the Werebunny' which I wrote at least three years ago. I'm now cacking my pants that the publisher will pull it 'cos of the film even though it's got nowt to do with Wallace and sodding Gromit!

I can't believe my luck! Anyhoo, there's a nice picture of it below.

Do you remember how cool the Texan Bar adverts were? There was a rock hard cowboy who was tied to a totem pole by evil injuns. At the end of the ad he just ripped the pole of the ground and buggered off with it still tied to him - ace!

Texan bars were right twats to eat though, the caramel used to stretch really long and all the chocolate used to crack off resulting in smacks from me mam for messing up the carpet. The mental scars are still there.

Hmmmm... I've got lovely Jesus Redondo Nemesis piece from prog 254 (Nemesis Book 2) showing him knacking loads of terminators. I know it's not an O'Neil but I might be tempted to trade it for a Dredd...

I'd like to jump on the Buttonman 1 & 2, Complete Nemesis and Complete Al's Baby bandwagons too. I would also like to see all the current Judge Dredd 'Bloodlines' (Rico, Dollman and even Vienna) strips collected together.

For completeness sake I'd also like to see collected Dredd: Inferno and Dredd: Crusade (yes - I know everyone says they're crap) as these are longish Dredd tales that have never been repeated. Perhaps these are more suited to the cheaper, more throwaway Extreme Editions though.

Here's my nice Ian Gibson story:

A couple of months ago a piece of his Dredd artwork appeared on ebay and, being a huge Gibson fan, I stuck a bid in for it straight away. The next day I recieved an email from Mr Gibson himself telling me that he was in dispute with the seller over how he had acquired the artwork and it was up to me and my conscience whether I wanted to buy it or not. I sent him a gushy reply telling him I'd retracted my bid and how much I loved his work. I was over the moon when he replied, offering to do me a sketch 'for being a gentleman.' I've scanned it in below.

So there we go - Ian Gibson is officially a very nice man!

While folks are slagging certain art dealers off, can somebody tell me what the score was with Ian Senior who had/has Aaaaaaaagh Artwork? He seemed very unpopular, did he steal loads of artists artwork or something?

I've got to agree about buying 2000ad art for the love of it. My Carlos piece came this morning (from Mark Willis if he's member of the board!) and I'm just stunned by it! It's a painted piece from Judgement day and the colours and linework are stunning - so much brighter and more vivid than the printed version. In face, I'm going to go and stare at it again!

He's a top bloke 'Fatboy' Dale (though he's disappointingly thin.) I've bought some lovely Kev Walker and Colin MacNeil stuff from him at great prices and he's a really nice guy.

I'd give my left testicle for the Brashill Dredd cover he's selling (shown below) but I've just splashed out on an Ezquerra page and my girlfriend, bank manager and conscience would kill me!

I bought quite a few out of loyalty to 2000ad more than owt else.

Most were ok, but Longworths Dredd SEEMED to just RANDOMLY SHOUT, even when he WAS JUST WALKING about! It really GOT ON MY nerves. When he wasn't shouting he was sneering, being a pedantic arse and not getting on with anyone. I'm sure if Dredd was as annoying as that in the comic one of his fellow judges would have shot him by now.

DEATH TO THE EVIL TROUT!

How could you bring that up!?! I didn't mention your letter (and pictures) in the Evil Transvestite Meglomaniac Fish Monthly Mag!

Regarding the letter - I was young and impressionable at the time... and probably on some kind of medication... or something! Erm... it wasn't me? Yes, that's it! It was some other Pete Wells - we're very common. Can't get stirred 'round these parts for Pete Wells'.

Cor, that ws lovely!

I loved the written lines punishment bit at the end - "I must never make an animated video again, it is a lot of work." If you look down the page one of the lines has been altered to "I must make an animatd video again coz it was a lot of fun."

I remember when I used to get lines at school I'd always sneak one in that contradicted what I was supposed to write and think I was great getting one up on the teacher. Lovely stuff.

I agree with Trouty about Moyles, he's an absolute tosser. The last time I listened to his show he was prattling on for ages about his new comby boiler then had a bloody weigh in on the radio!!! I thought they did that kind of stuff on This Morning, not Radio One. Witless, talentless, egomaniac twat.

Ah that's better.

The single player demo for the shit-your-pants-a-thon PC game FEAR is available to download. I've just played it and had two jump out of my skin moments!

It's really cool and reminds me of when I played the very first Half-Life demo all those years ago...

There's a downloady link below.

Cor, lovely stuff!

Wasn't there a fully rendered MC1 Taxi and something else Dreddy on another messageboard a few months ago? I seem to remember they were for a 'top secret' project. Sorry for being vague, but does anyone know what that was all about?

I saw this last night and, despite the odd chuckle (was there a Wickerman reference in there?), I found it very, very ordinary.

It was like many of the computer animated cartoons that are coming out now - it just felt like lazy and completely formulaic Hollywood to me. Wizzo graphics and big egotistical 'stars' lending their voices isn't enough. For me, it didn't have any of the charm of Shrek or Toy Story.

So, I didn't hate it but it was just a bit... meh.
