Here is the phone cover I've made my girlfriend for Christmas. Is this sharing too much?

This is fantastic! PJ is an excellent minor(!) villain who has used sparingly and consistantly well by Wagner.

The EE highlighted something to me though. I've never been one for Ennis bashing but the Ennis tale in here realy is the low point and I can only imagine how horrified John Wagner was to see his creations being screwed up so much. I remember not minding the dire nineties period too much at the time, but the more Titan reprints I read, the more I realise just how bad they were (though at their lowest they'll have been about on par with this weeks prog - sorry.)

Anyway, moan over! Buy this Extreme Edition, it's loads meatier than most graphic novels that are three times the price and makes for an excellent read (on the whole). Marvellous stuff!

Roll on EE3!

Yup, it's knacky-hard (and I'm narked that the Jim Murray Dark Judges cover didn't get in)!

Right:

Vol 1-15 (Al's Baby)
Vol 2-74 (Shimura - Hope this wins)
Vol 3-32 (Shimura - Not a brilliant cover...)
207 (the Femme Fatale one - I love Jock's stuff but this cover is very non-descript, sorry!)

2-74 is best by a long chalk.

The second one is jaw droppingly fantastic! The physics are amazing and the story is great. There are some amazing set pieces and I would recommend the game to anyone - just for the window cleaner's lift bit (play it and you'll see).

I urge everyone to pop it on your
Christmas lists!

I had a very minor bump into a taxi driver on Wednesday.

He is now 'no win, no fee' suing for the terrible whiplash he has and his loss of earnings whilst still blatently dropping off and collecting my special needs pupils at the school where I work every morning and afternoon. I'm sorry it happened but sickened by this man's cheek.

Hope Trouty's wife is ok and gets some genuinely deserved compensation.

Prog / Re: 1368 - Seeing Red.
25 November, 2003, 06:12:55 AM
Thoughts on the prog:

Dredd - Siku spoiling what could have been a (very) minor classic.

DMW - Haven't minded this really...

Cabs - Cool, thaks again to Blackblood for getting me up to speed!

Synnamon and DR - Yaawwwnnnnnnnnnnn.

Right that's the formalities out of the way! So I'm going to be the first to ask...

For the many of us who don't have a cat in hells chance of getting Metro, will some kindly soul scan and upload the strip weekly/everyday for the rest of us to read or even better, is there any chance of seeing it on this wonderful website?

Ta,

Pete.

Thanks a million Mr Blackblood. You're a star and really deserve one of those fancy awards that Tharg hands out.

Thanks again for your time.

Help! / Caballistics
23 November, 2003, 12:15:27 AM
I really do enjoy Caballistics but haven't been paying it quite enough attention as perhaps I should have. Could someone please write a quick 'Idiots Guide' to the series refreshing my memory about the characters and events to date before the big shit hitty events of Prog 2004?

Cheers,

Pete.

Yup, a really difficult choice. 207 was lovely and did actually look tatty and worn, 211b was perhaps the first homage I've actually liked but as a mega Staples fan I have to go for the Bollandesque 209.

Most difficult round yet.
