Some smashing, really inventive ideas this month - it was a tricky subject which seems to have really got people thinking. I'm going for:

1 - James Newell. That is fucking genius, a mixed-media piece that features actual death, how many entries can boast that? Creepy as owt and really well drawn, amazing.

2 - Antodonnel. Broke my heart. I'm a fan of Sinister Dexter and I hope this, or an iteration of this, happens one day, it'd be a real 2000AD high point.

3 - Allistermac. Brutal, sums the Justice Dept up perfectly.

Honourable mentions simply must go to  Dr X who's entry was utter brilliance (and gorgeously shot) and Dave Peloe who is a very naughty boy.

Dishonourable mention to Pete Wells who, despite being fantastically sexy, can't draw for monkey nuts.

No, it's not Justin Lee Collins in an orgy at Newcastle's Bigg Market, it's Black Shuck by Alex Ronald on the blog today...

Just completed this and really enjoyed it.

A couple of annoying things though, namely enemies getting stuck in walls, completed objectives not registering but for me, the worst is the poor sound design - enemies were desperately shouting and it sounded like they were right next to me, only to be frigging miles away. On such a gloriously tense game that relies so heavily on situational awareness, I'd have expected this to be a bit more polished.

Still, it's a joyous game and I'd recommend it, despite a couple of flaws which I'm sure will be addressed. Right, now to get back to it to Hoover up those achievements...

Ooooh, forgot to post here, Karl's hard as nails Aquila cover is on the blog. There's a spunk joke in the article for those with a more high brow sense of humour.

I've got a hardback, net ner ner ner ner!

I've got to agree, it's an absolutely lovely, lovely book. I read it all in one glorious sitting ( but really haven't put it down since) and I've got to say, I got the same goosebumps I did the first time I saw the film.

It's a beautiful book and is very, very highly recommended to all.

No a problem sir. And may I say you're looking lovely today Sauchie?

What get's me, particularly with the Klegg cover, is that unless that image makes the cover of a graphic novel, or a poster, then it's shelf life is ONE WEEK! All that work and skill, for one week. Mental!
