I'm not photogenic - at least as far as those cheap throwaway cameras and passport booths are concerned. From those pics, I've been compared to that bald Russian serial killer of years back - the guy who was kept in a cage at his trial?

I first read VCs when I was - oh, about eight? - I found it dire back then, certainly not a patch on the other strips in 2000AD at the time. The new series is bearable, originally because of Henry flint's artwork, but now... it could go either way. I don't care for VCs in any form, but I'd rather see it in my weekly prog instead of SinDex...

I'd say the original series had nothing going for it - generic future war at its most tedious - so the new series can only be an improvement. We still desperately need Cam Kennedy to lend a hand with the artwork...

Thanks Will. Who was the youngest ever to work for 2000AD? I know that Steve Dillon was - what - 18 (ish) when he started working professionally, but that was for Marvel Comics...

Will, do you happen to know how old McMahon, Bolland, O'Neill, Mills, Wagner, etc, were, when they first worked for 2000AD? I'm just wondering as there seems to be a trend in all businesses these days to have young ones at the helm, whereas in ages past, photos always showed forty-odd year old editors and artists at the drawing boards ...

I was just thinking that... 2000AD is made by children! It explains the influx of swear words for 'shock' effect and increase of topless women per annual prog count :)

I am self-publishing a web comic or two next year, so maybe you ladies could contribute to that?

Out of curiosity, Have any of you ladies ever thought about working in the comic biz? I ask as 2000AD is soley a lad's domain these days. It would be nice to see a different point of view for a change.

Did you find that the font the SinDex story was written in gave you headaches? It really was bad choice from the typographer's POV...

The RPG Cursed Earth book will strive to find a plausible explanation for the land trek vs. strato-bat short cut ... so I hope!

The Missionary Man stories and suchlike during the creatvely parched 1990s turned the Cursed Earth into a glorified Wild West and played down the outlandish sci-fi elements. I might be writing the Cursed Earth Sourcebook for the JDRPG and will seek to restore this amazing location's reputation as a hellhole where judges fear to tread...

Then again, a lot of RPG players don't read 2000AD, and so consider the RPG to be the first line of continuity :) It all gets complicated...
