Cracking pages, all.
Those Dillon pages are very nice, arent they. And a Dillon Dredd is deffo on my wish list.
Curious myself as to what they'll end up going for. I suspect too much for me, as well.

So today I saw that the long-awaited Unabridged audiobook of World War Z is now available, and bought it immediately.

Unfortunately, what wasn't initially clear was that they have essentially recast and re-recorded the whole thing, and it no longer has that creepy intro music. So no more name actors in the roles - and no more Mark Hamill shouting "Die Motherfucker Die!!!", which is a shame.

Hasnt this been out a good while?
(Or i may well have read a review about the Unabridged version had been re-cast, etc).

Still, im looking forward to catching this film this coming weekend.
Setting my expectations low, but its been getting some decent reviews...

Prog / Re: PROG 1837 END OF DAYS
24 June, 2013, 10:17:49 AM
Top proggage was 1837.
Love the Weston cover. And Dredd itself sees the return of Mr Wagner. Slightly low key episode, that went up a notch towards the end. Lovely art by Taylor - dont think ive come across him before? Again, we have mention of Dredd's guilt, which doesnt convince. Minor niggle, though.

Sinister Dexter is just glorious at the moment. Really enjoying this. Top notch.

The Future Shock is a cracker, this week. Lovely art, and story.

Anderson is a fun read again. Some have said that Carlos is wasted on strips like this, and thats maybe true. But its doing nowt to offend me overall. Lightweight stuff, maybe, but still OK.

And Defoe. Again im not familar with the strip, so ill hold off judgement til i can get a better handle on it. Nowt to dislike so far, though.

All in all, a cracker - once again.

Yep, think that the bulk of those pages went for around the £500 mark.

And just checking to see if he's listed any more pages (not as yet) i see yet another nice copy of Prog 2 with stickers has turned up.

Just over six days left to run, and only one bid at present.

Yes, a good read that. And nice to see Brendan's art again, for this.

General / Re: 2000 AD Where are you in Smiths?
23 June, 2013, 09:40:22 PM
And since i started buying the prog from either Smith's, or elsewhere, it would seem that Asda's doesnt stock it any more. Last time i bought it from there was ages ago, and popping in recently - no prog....  :-\

Do i have to draw up a rota, so that no one place that stocks the prog is missed out, so that they continue to place it on the shelves?

An early Dredd page has popped up on eBay. A Ron Turner from Prog 11

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290930971551

And sold for a tasty £536.99. Anyone on here snag it?
I suspect there will be more pages to come from this story, and this seller.

Though if you just buy the good stuff, they might get the hint...?

Just read this, and Year One #3 together, and the two are poles apart.
Which is a shame, as i think theyve certainly made an effort with the ongoing series. But it just isnt Dredd - at all.
This storyline concludes next issue, and that will be when i leave.

Brilliant. Just brilliant. This series really is summat, isnt it. Totally worth the slightly longer wait.
Im hooked, so there had better be some more to come Tharg, after issue four.

But highly recommended is this. The story, and the art are top notch.

This does look good, and the chance to meet Ma-Ma would have been great.
Im in London the following week, and unfortunatley i couldnt swing it to bring that trip forward slightly.  :(
Plenty of photo's CF, plenty of photos!

I don't think there is a single fool proof way to find everything you might ever be interested in on eBay.

Agreed. A lot of times, people dont fully list/describe, or spell (!) correctly any original art their selling, so saved searches bypass these ones.
Gotta keep ya peepers peeled, im afraid. Though the Guys on here, are pretty good at given shout outs, if summat pops up.

I've just been to the shop to pre-order the Termight edition , and it's not showing up - have they all been allocated?
There were only 200 so I'd assume so.

Nice to hear its, possibly, sold out - for Rebellion. Not so good for folks that was hoping to snag a copy of this Ltd Ed.
Almost keep forgetting ive got a copy paid for. September is still a long ways of yet.

Film & TV / Re: Last movie watched...

Escape from New York. Starting to look its age now, or more probably it was such a tight/low bugdet, that it looks a bit creaky in places. But still, its prime Carpenter.
And Adrienne Barbeau was RED HOT then, wasnt she..
