Firstly id like to say thanks Guys - appreciate the concern, and well wishes.
At present ive got it relatively mild - though i do have a particulary nasty crop of blisters on the back of my neck.

Now if you'd have asked me about Shingles this time yesterday, i wouldnt really have been able to enlighten you to any real degree, so its been a voyage of discovery - in more ways than one.

It first started to flare up Wednesday, though looking back i think it tried to start last week. Thought the redness, and tenderness was a touch of too much Sun, so treated it to some aftersun lotion....
Thursday, when the blisters started, the Chemist said it looks like a Wasp/Bee sting, and sold me Insect bite cream to rub on it...

Went to my own Pharmacist Friday morning - and the look of horror on the face of the young lass on the counter when i showed her my 'insect bite' led me to ask "is it that bad , who then recommended me seeing my own GP, and i managed to get seen pretty much there and then.
And yes, its all a throw back to when i had Chicken Pox aged 13.

So on a course of antiviral tablets at present, and hopefully that'll sort it out.

I did break my golden rule, and use Google images regarding this. (never a good idea, if you have an ailment, ), so i can say that compared to some, im lucky at present.

An almost unrecognisable Jon Voight is superb as Manny. Those eyes!!
One of his best roles, i think. A little Gem, that film.

Not too sad as I didn't really believe it - I outright disbelieved it the moment 'a few' missing episodes became 90 missing episodes.

Aye, if something sounds too good to be true......., and all that.

But its been interesting, if not a little disheartening, to learn all about the missing episodes (and not just for Dr Who). And also to see the lengths everybody involved have gone to try to track down stuff, and get things released - in various forms.
Was suprised to learn that audio recordings (taped by fans back then) exist for all the missing episodes.

James Gandolfini
I always hate waking up and hearing an actor that I like has died.

Aye, caught this on the 6am news. You could tell straight away its wasnt gonna be good when they started the story 'And its reported that actor James Gandolfini........'

Totally unexpected, but in a strange kinda way it also wasnt. The fella was a man mountain.
But what a legacy to leave us with. The Soprano's was many years of excellent, and required viewing.
RIP, T.

For the Bowie exhibiton, i dont think you can.
All sold now - and have been for ages, but apparently you stand a chance (fingers, and everything else crossed) of getting tickets on the day, if you turn up first thing.....
Or so their site claims. Sounds like we may be onto a hiding for nowt regarding that one, which as its pretty much the reason were heading down to London in the first place, is a shame.

But the Pompeii one shouldnt be a problem? Or do i need to look into this a bit more?
