I know the release date is an age away, but i wish theyd release more stuff like this. Guess everyone is now excited all over again....

Y'see, doesn't matter what they release or when, you all want more and for it to be here yesterday. I'm enjoying the slow release and glad it's not out in Spring and that it's still several months away.

Oh i agree Joe, just a bit excited, is all. Not after a deluge, just a bit more than the nearly dried up trickle of late. At this stage, slow is the way to go - September is a loooong way off yet, but after the negitive rumours circulating - directors being let go, alleged cuts to tone down violence etc, something like these photos gets everyone smiling again. This boy can wait, honest.

Although some seem to claim it is a formula for solving the Rubik's Cube:

If thats true, then it really is a crap tattoo, coz it looks nowt like somebody peeling off the stickers and then putting them back on again in the right order.

Without checking thats sounds about right. Seem to remember reading that 50 post-ban issues of Action were produced, and prior to the ban, 37 issues were produced.
Though issue 37 was famously pulped after a full print run (its claimed about 20ish copies survived - making it one of Britains rarest comics?). If you count that issue, then yeh 87.

The last issue of Action before the Battle merger was dated 11th November 1977. Suprised the seven penny site couldnt help, its pretty good. Though, as you say its focus is more the pre-ban issues.

Great artist, first came across his work in my beloved Action, ( the superb kids rule ok and Hells Highway) and looking back on the work he did during his time at 2000ad, its got to be said, thats a pretty impressive list. Some re-reading of old favourites will be done tonight. RIP Mike.

According to an online inflation calculator, that £10 would be around £35 these days...

Tharg was generous with his cash then...

Your not kidding, back in '77, it was a hard enough job to find the 8p needed for 2000ad, (oh the good old bad old days).
Cant imagine what it would have felt like to suddenly have ten whole english pounds to play with. Did anyone on here ever win the tenner i wonder?

$19,000 - yeah right...

The seller, Romitaman, does seem to price his wares to the extreme, and as consequence, a lot goes unsolded. As much as i love Paul Chadwick's Concrete, i shant be paying the $2,000 asking price (WTF!?! remove a nought, then maybe) for the Concrete piece he has. Ridiculous.

here is another page i found ..

Is your house like one of those that Kim and Aggie would go to Dale, but instead of mountains of waste and dog poo, is chock full of 2000ad art?   ;)
