Prog / Re: Prog 1922 - Judge Dredd Road Warrior

After a period of relative flatness for the prog, this weeks helping is a cracker from front cover to back.

Nice to get a Dredd one-off again, and with Mr Coleby on art duties no less. Marvelous.
Survival Geeks is sure pretty to look at, and the last couple of weeks have contained some quality gags to them. Its fluff, all told, but still its good fluff.
Savage had taken a wee dip - Mr Mills does like to stretch things out a bit, but its all coming good. Cant fault the art, at all.
Really enjoying 3rillers - and on the art front, its helping to keep away the hunger pangs im feeling waiting for Brass Sun to return.
And some simply glorious art on show for The Order, and a nice little wrap up. Looking forward to seeing this return.

So, for the first time in a while (though probably not as long as I think its been..) the prog is a top treat again.

I do indeed remember Shaw Taylor - he always seemed to pop up at certain points in my childhood, and was saddened to read of his death today.

RIP Mr Taylor.

Not read 1922 yet, but it's a lovely looking prog this week - cover wise.
A beaut of a front cover by Mr Lynch, and the back full page advert for the Meg is a corker as well. (Shame I don't read the Meg (I know... I know...) to find out what the story is behind that....)

The baby in Eisenstein's Battleship Potemkin would now be 90 years old.

Personally speaking, Bolland's work on Judge Death Lives, is the greatest art ever for any Dredd story.

Greg is a proper talent - no doubting that, but I found his interior page artwork for Dark Justice to be a bit static and flat at times. His cover work is always excellent though.

Had a re-watch of Breaking Glass last night.
Very badly dated now, but the first half is still pretty good, and a good snapshot of the times.

I had heard rumours that this film would be a pseudo heist caper and direct prequel to 'Star Wars' and tell the story of how the Rebel Alliance - perhaps with help from bounty hunters - stole the Death Star plans. I also heard that Jones might be playing Princess Leia.

I can go with that. Just hope they are fun.

...a nice bloke and the World needs nice blokes.

That's why I'm sad.

This.
RIP Mr Pratchett.

I really want to upgrade my crappy DVD though, Lionsgate seem to own the rights to a HD release ATM, but no news of a new release.

Didn't Arrow release a pretty good Blu-ray/DVD combo a few years ago? Mind you, its OOP now, and pricey, to boot

And that's that, for Dark Justice.

A curious affair, and a disappointment tbh.
