"So Fttagn, how shall we endear ourselves to this 'human' race? Cure their most crippling ailments? Limitless food replication? A fully automated socio-economic infrastructure allowing them to realize their true creative potential without the shackle of monetary commitments?"

"Nah. Lets just kill that there herd of bovines, just to fuck with them, ey."

Raging Bull recently received a 4K restoration and is doing the rounds, if you have a showing near you do yourself a favor and go see it. Marty made more aesthetically accomplished movies later in his career but he is at his most raw here, the boxing sequences are insane when restored to their original, harrowing splendor.
The closest a boxing movie got to outright horror besides the only actual horror boxing movie, Tokyo Fist, which owes a very explicit debt to Raging Bull.
Marty never misses.

My baritone national anthem exegesis has degenerated into a Sardaukar throat chant.

Such a mighty exercise, I can juggle marbles with my adenoids at this point.

Brushing up on my baritone of 'deutschland deutschland ueber alles' for the big day, I'm a bit rusty afraid to say.

Oh no, not touching that one, not on your life.

Quote from: A.Cow on 23 April, 2023, 02:00:51 AMAny idea why the artwork on the back-page Zenith ad is different to the artwork for the same product on this week's prog?  The Meg art looks unfamiliar; is it from a reprint cover?

I do believe it's from the cover to Titan Books reprint run of Zenith; volume 2 specifically.

Is there an alternative to peer reviewing? Turns out, if you want quality journalism, then no.

I recall loving The Order when it first dropped, but it's very much fallen into the admirable but safe niche previously occupied by The Red Seas as a wholly entertaining yarn that, much as I wish it did, never really became the sum of its parts.

That being said, it started fairly early on into my readership so it's been a ride seeing it all the way through from beginning to end, which is more than can be said for some strips that petered out in that time 'cough' Sexy ostriches 'cough.

Considering the present climate, I'm not holding out much hope for Postal Order.

Just got one word for you "Helter-Skelter" (or is that two?)

Hush now, hush. What does not exist can't hurt us anymore.

I've several years of Megs to catch up on (crikey, 2018 to now...) and yeah, the Dark Judge material is the stuff I'm finding most daunting.

Seems an awful lot for some dudes I always felt worked best in moderation....
