Don't know about you folks, but I'd pay good money for a Mad Max/Dredd crossover...

Looks like those planned IDW colour reprints of the Dark Judges stories are back on track for next year!   :)

Ah, nice! Feared the series had been shitcanned. I got the Apoc War hardback recently and it's a really nice book. Will definitely be buying the Dark Judges one, and dearly hope one day for The Judge Child and Oz to get the same treatment.

Likewise for me! I didn't mind the colouring, though a bit irritated with the lazy errors (leaving unused photoshop masks on, that sort of gear...).  Did they fix that up in the hardback?

I'd be interesting to see how they'd blend in the computer colouring with the art droids' painted double pager spreads in Oz.  I don't think there'd be copies of those pages uncoloured... McCarthy's, in particular.

Hey Molch-R - did you get my message about the Supanova cons down in Oz?

I'll have a word with the Supanova guys - sometimes those connections just come in handy!

And Jon?  Shhhhh.  Molch-R might have an aversion to American bugs, but Oz bugs are quite well-behaved...

...the spiders and snakes, on the other hand....well, the less said, the better...

Well jealous of the lot of you, we don't get much in the way of 2000AD creator types down here in Oz on a regular basis....

...but I've had the pleasure of sitting and talking to the very lovely Colin Wilson for almost an hour at a convention recently... he remembered me from the first time we met some three years previously (possibly because I said I was thinking of moving away from working in films and making a stab at doing comic work again - he looked at me in a horrified way and whispered "...but there's no money in comics..!")

I think he was joking.... :P

Upsetting Mark Millar many, many years ago at another convention in Sydney made me quite pleased with myself, I may have commented on his run of Dredd stories he was doing at the time...

Other than that, getting to work with Brendan McCarthy for a couple of years on Fury Road.  Interesting fellow, amazing conceptualist and fantastic artist!  A humbling experience, the man's mind is rich in insane visual ideas indeed..!

Molch-R, send some of your droids down here for a visit!  We promise to make them welcome..!

Looks like a fine burgundy to me, mate. The palette reminds me of Gina Hart, who was the nineties equivalent of Chris Blythe:

Well, I have been looking at a lot of Chris Blythe lately too...! :D

Thanks for the kind words folks (and to sauchie for posting the picture - there's a colour version somewhere too - and yes, Dash, it's blood - see colour version for better detail)!

I'll take any comments that invoke 2000AD creators as a bonus - particularly the Weston droid, he has been a big influence on me over the last few years (and a lovely droid he is, too)...

I'll try harder to draw Dredd standing on justice, discipline, good order, and the rigid application of the law next time...  ;)

After being a committed (and probably committable) Judge Dredd/2000AD fan for 30 years, I'm well excited to post a childhood dream of mine...

The IDW folks were down in Australia a few weeks ago and were looking for some new talent - thought I'd try my luck and see how it went.

I managed to convince Chris Ryall - who was a lovely fellow, I have to say - to give me the chance to have a go at an illustration of Dredd as a tryout...

It seemed to go well - they've decided to use it as a cover for issue#26 of the IDW Judge Dredd series..!

So there you go - my stab at Dredd.  Hopefully there'll be more opportunities in the future - but super thrilled to have had the chance...  Hope you all like it!

...now I just need to convince Tharg to give me a stab in a future prog...!

(P.S. I can't actually attach the image - if anyone out there can and feels like posting it, that'd be fantastic.  Cheers!)

Love it, and looking forward to the Collected Damage Report Vol 1 (Hardback Ed.) out in February 2015.

Well, I can dream, can't I..?

Cheers K33F, the {speculative} possibility of one Sidney D'eath being unleashed on the world fair warms the heart...

...though not for long, given his modus operandi.

Judge Death now hinted at (by Ash) for inclusion in the 1/12 scale Wave One.  Some advert (?) in an upcoming Prog, too.

K33F, any confirmation?

:)

According to Ash, a very Bollandy Death.  Sounds very interesting...
