Photos of Black Lawmaster with black uniformed Dredd... Happy happy joy joy...

Can Dredd sit on the bike seat properly?  He looks like he's suffering from piles. (That might explain his sour disposition.)  Maybe Mezco could bundle the bike with a little ring cushion accessory to add some support and fill the gap.

He definitely can - I was just on a short time limit with photos, as my 3 year old was approaching with an evil glint in her eye...

Got my black Lawmaster yesterday via BBTS, and it's all sorts of lovely. Though I did have a shit of a time getting the batteries in, and thought for a while that I was going to have a Burdis moment when the sounds and lights failed to work. But a little extra fiddling with batteries (and some swearing), and - viola - sound and light!

It's nicely designed, and will make a lovely reference if and when I get to do another Dredd for Tooth!

Word from Gregory at 3A this morning...

"Finalizing some details on 1/6th Dredd...

1/12th Giant, Alpha, Satanus, Rojaws, Vintage Blue Dredd with Lawmaster this summer."

Well, we can take the timing with a grain of salt - but that sounds pretty ambitious. And very cool, if it all happens..!

Never thought Satanus would happen, I have to admit!

Here's a couple of outtakes, as I try to record the video of the Mezco Lawmaster for the blog. These are links to my facebook page, so they should work as it's completely open.

Interruption 1

Interruption 20

The video for the full unboxing is on there as well but I'm sorting out the close up photos to add to the completed blog before I link that up. By the way, the sounds and lights didn't work, so it has to go back!

The interruptions were the best bits (that and the sneaking satisfaction that it has to be sent back, I may get a working model before you yet, young Burdis - mwahahahaaaaa!)

Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the story, but the Dreddverse feels a bit of a mess at the minute and I'd like things to settle down for a while.

Me too; not quite sure exactly what's going on in the Dreddverse- without wishing to go too progstalgic, we were spoiled by years of Wagner, where scripts flowed incredibly smoothly and never left you asking questions (unless that's what we were supposed to do, as when Kraken appeared first).  While I like to see big things happen in the Meg, a lot of things are unclear - just how powerful is MC1 these days?  How much has been rebuilt after DoC?  Is the city ripe for foreign invasion; and if it is, why hasn't it happened yet?

I love Tainted.  I really enjoy a good apocalypse story.  This was how I'd hoped the Origins story would go rather than focusing on Dredd and the judges - normal people trying to cope as their whole world is gradually rent asunder.

I always figured that even if MC1 has become a pale shadow of its former self, it still has a vast nuclear arsenal, which would make anyone pause for a moment's thought before invading...

I'm still waiting for the last two progs, so I haven't seen how Tainted is unfolding - but the first episode was pretty promising. Am I correct in thinking that it's the first part of a larger story? Or is that just optimism?

Hey folks! I've got a new Dredd with the Mk 1 Lawmaster from the guys at Dark World Creations which I'm getting rid of (moving my office back home, got to get rid of a bunch of stuff...  :P )

It's in top nick, having actually never been opened - anybody want to give it a new home?

The only catch is that I'm down in Australia, so postage might be a bit - but I'll take any decent offer! Name your price!

In entirely unconnected news, Mr Wagner is a rather excellent and generous host. Stay away from the damsin gin, mind.

Homemade damson gin..? I'm on my way... :)

A great wrap-up to John's interview, still trying to figure out what Molch-R and John were actually doing while they chatted - checkers?

Thanks for the highly frustrating tease on the BIG SECRET, Molch-R. I'm sending someone to "have a chat", don't worry, it won't hurt too much.  ;)

Also very gratified to hear John enjoys Patrick O'Brian's maritime novels, they're a ripper. Read them all a few times over myself..!

Sam Slade, Judge Fish and der Gronk just arrived on my desk! Via Russia Post, no less.

Sam Slade was waiting for me when I got home too.

inkymonkey, did yours come with a Stogie?

The instagram photo posted here a little while ago shows two different-sized cigars in a compartment near Sam's head.  I assumed the big one was Stogie and the other one just a cigar (Freud).  Mine just has two of the smaller sized cigars, so I'm wondering if they changed the design or mine has a slight Quality Control issue.

Here's a blow-up of the instagram photo:

Yeah, mine was just the two smaller cigars too...

All in good nick, and a whole lot faster than Judge Death...!

How is gronk and judge fish? Which version did you get?

Both versions!

Haven't had a look at the b&w versions yet, but the weathered versions are quite nice!

You wouldn't expect a vast amount of articulation on the Gronk, and so no-one will be surprised that his arms all move, but nothing else does. The fur is done well!

Fish himself is beautifully painted and detailed, very much like the Bolland cover from the Eagle reprints. Nice. There is a small post that you mount him on that pokes out of the bottom of his bowl - this seems a bit flimsy and could be fairly easy to break, if you're not careful...

Sam Slade is also very well done. Great articulation on the limbs and body! The clothes are surprisingly well fitted, given he's so small. His cigar shows no sign of being a robot-Stogie though, it appears to be just a cigar. But you get two of them, probably a good idea as they'll be easily lost...

All in all, pretty nice. I'll let other folks write more detailed reviews, but I'm happy!

Looking forward to Dredd now!!
