Jon, the prog beckons...  :o

This is a current early sketch of Drake Tempest, a demon-hunting character i'm currently attempting to co-write a comic for.

Woolly, at the risk of starting some sort of weird, uncomfortable mutual appreciation club; likewise*. That's beautiful! I like the more finished piece on the other thread too (but I'll just post the once to keep the man** love down  ;))

*I mean it's down to Tharg really, and he's proven hard to please so far, but you get the general sentiment.

**Possibly a dreadful assumption on my part. :o

If for no other reason than age solidarity, happy birthday! Hope it's a good one.

This isn't an Emperor 4 pages is it? Cos that would be, um....six.

Yeah, I think so. It depends what you mean by 'end of the year' and what's needed, but I'd love to take a look. You can PM or mail me direct.

Cheers!

Started this in Hot Dang Doodle, thought I'd finish* it here;

*Insofar as anything's ever finished. Wanted to see how far I could get before going to bed. I'm going to bed.

Aha! Thanks!

Crap day at work, so I thought I'd try and design a S/D agent over lunch.

Meet Carly;

With six arms she should be a formidable offensive force; unfortunately her mutation didn't also grant her sufficient co-ordination to properly control her limbs.

Tends to complete contracts more by luck than judgement, and with a surfeit of collateral damage.

Has difficulty sustaining partnerships.

These are great!

Brushpens are one of the very pinnacles of technology and human achievement, IMO.

Sold!

Do you have any of the back issues in digital format? (I know, but I'm short of shelf space) I couldn't find any on Lulu.

Uh-oh, slipping down the page a little...

Happy birthday!

But before any writery types get any excited ideas, I should point out that Jon is really slow and difficult to deal with and really rubbish at coming up with sketches out of nowhere that make you go "yes, that's what I was meaning, Jon. What do you mean you did it in your tea break?"

Hmm, yeah, but I take a lot of "tea breaks" (I really hate my job right now).

(Matter of fact he might want to sign that)

Never got the hang of it.

Thanks everyone for the... kind (?) words. Very flattering but I really don't want to hijack the thread.

3) Emperor & Jon - points lost for being a bit too professional - meant to be amateur hour you know!

I blame Jon for this - I did my level best but he polished that turd to perfection. Perhaps next time...

Psssh! I reckon everyone else here has had more strips published than me, (i.e. none.) I've never even managed to get a letter in the prog!

Just saying...

Sorry to be picky, but could someone fix page 3 of our thing please? (I think you just need to change the '2' to a '3' if you're still using my files.)

(edit) D'oh! Never mind...

Thanks, sorry, thanks,

J

PS. I agree about the Buttonman entry. Could we see that again?

I managed to take a dive down a short flight of concrete steps in my back garden. Grazed most of my face and smashed out a crown. Luckily the dentist managed to glue that back in for a mere £75, but now my right eye is purple and swollen shut, my right arm seems effectively disabled and I can only turn my neck by about 5 degrees.

To add insult to injury there appears to be a colony of bees nesting underneath the bottom step and, by the feel of it, a few of them put the boot in while I was down.

Do I qualify?

Jon- , now get back to work...

Um, yeah, sorry. Forgot you were on here...
